Not the record lowest, but if you missed out on the previous deals, then maybe this is a good alternative!

And Amazon have also decided to add the Dark Chocolate varieties to this sale as well!

The caramel one was particularly tasty and I felt less guilty about indulging after reading @hamza23's description on the sugar comparison!

Enjoy!

    • +5

Still trying to find the Peanut Butter one… that was amazing…

      • +3

Coles have it, sometimes half price :)

        • yes, they started stocking peanut butter and i think the coconut one about a month ago? big w or kmart used to stock the small bars a couple years ago, no idea if they still do

      • Yes i am a big fan of Peanut butter one.

  • +3

Sad that Amazon doesn't stock the hazelnut.

PS: Amazon is price-matching Woolworths (ends today)

  • +1

Would anyone pay the $9.04 RRP for it? I just bought OLD gold almond chocolate 180g for $2.50 at Coles.

    • +4

$9.04? Nope. Not under any circumstances. I've seen it being sold regularly on Amazon for I can't recall, somewhere between $12 and $15! You'd have to have to honey pokey rocks in your head.

where to buy L&P version, only NZ?

    • +1

They may have stopped making them. Didn’t see them in the supermarkets when I was in NZ last month.

    • +1

I've seen it at Coles in the international aisle

  • +5

I am a strong man with self-control and I do not need these delicious chocolate bars…

  • +1

Bought 2 coconut blocks the other day, due to deliver today.

Still not as good as the old darrell lea coconut rough, but nothing is.

    • +1

Do they taste like bounty just with more chocolate?

      • +1

Nah, completely different taste than bounties. I prefer bounties but they got very small.

      • The coconut in Whittakers coconut blocks is toasted and tastes very different (and better) than other coconut chocolate products. It tastes like this might be the favourite product of someone at Whittakers… they've really nailed it.

  • +1

They are the same price at my woolies. Spotted them at sale price last night

    • Not everyone has a Woolies nearby. Mine is 45km from where I live.

  • Bought a couple of blocks last time they were posted, have disappeared already.

  • +4

Pity they don’t stock the new Oat Milk version yet. Still exclusive to Coles.

    • Yeah. I'd like to try it but at $6.50 its a bit exxy.

      • +1

Was $4.8 last week at Coles but couldn't find stock.

    • +1

still yet to see it stocked at any SE Qld Coles 😔

      • in Robina and Upper Coomera

        • Robina! will have to go looking again cheers

    • How good is this? I tried the vegan Lindt variety lately and it was the best non-dairy chocolate I've had so far. The Pana stuff was like candle wax.

  • +1

    buy 250g eat 250g
    buy 100g eat 100g

  • +1

Is this stuff better than Cadbury?

    • +1

      Preference/flavour choices

    • +1

      yes, heaps, more creamy
cadbury is more sweet and cheaper tasting

      • Agree. This chocolate tastes like much better quality than Crapbury

  • +2

There is a new flavour out. Caramalised Blondie which must be to compete against caramilk. Saw it at coles but it did not jump into my basket at $6.50

    • Thank you for this information. I dont have a Coles close to me but will go to one just for this!

    • +1

I tried a bar in NZ and it was soooo good. It was a nicer version of caramilk. Melts so much nicer in the mouth than Cadbury.

    • +1

It's $5 at Coles today onwards FYI.

  • +1

    So, how much per 100g?

I will not pay more than $1.50 per 100g for chocolate.

It falls into range across the brands from time to time, and then I buy it.

    • I upvoted to cancel the neg you got. I completely understand what you're saying.

Let me explain what ThirdRonnie is trying to say, basically when Colesworth runs proper sales (ignore the yellow sticker - they don't mean anything) chocolate is actually priced around $1.50/100g for the Mars /nestle confectionery base line (eg. Mars, snickers, milky way, picnic, kit kat, etc.)

The Whittaker is alot better so is a fair bit more premium to this line so $2.00/100g is a good deal

Do yourself a big favour, and skip this for some divine Aldi chocolate. Once you’ve been spoiled by fine European chocolates, you just can’t go back to the inferior Antipodean offerings. But I suppose, if one doesn’t know any better, Whittaker’s is OK. Ignorance is bliss, sometimes

  • Is it possible to get the Whitaker's peanut slab flavour in the larger blocks?

    • +1

Not sure about where, but Peanut Block

  • +4

Why do "community moors" change for Amazon? For example: These blocks are $4.50 (same price) at Woolworths right now, and Price Hipster shows they regularly go on sale for $4 (cheaper). If this were another item like SSIDs, portable HDDs, front load washing machine, etc, most posters would compare past prices before posting and if their deal wasn't cheaper, wouldn't post it. The few that would still post it would say something like, "Not the cheapest price ever, but…" and/or people in the comments would be saying, "No deal" and citing recent or regular lower prices. So I don't understand why a more expensive item gets a free pass just because it's Amazon?

    • +2

You make an excellent point, but since you spelt mores as moors, your philosophical argument has been hit hard over the head by a cheap block of chocolate. But you still get my upvote for raising awareness of common, yet apparently permitted, or at least overlooked, violations of community guidelines

      • +3

        It's moops

        • 🤣😭😂
          Such a funny episode

    • So I don't understand why a more expensive item gets a free pass just because it's Amazon?

The free shipping for Prime members makes it easier/more convenient for the lazy. Just need to sit at your computer/couch and have things delivered to your house.

  • Has anyone been to the Whittaker's store in Auckland airport? Not sure if they're still closed from covid…

I remember helping myself to a few coconut and almond blocks before the flight home.

When I read 'creamy milk', my mind goes off in a questionable direction. Am I the only one?
