I purchased a discount e-gift card from Budget Direct Rewards to reduce overall price to $132.

Been running in these shoes for ages and love them.

    Thanks OP

    • Great score!

Damn the 4E are still full price :(

Sizing is mentioned little differently. Aus is supposed to be US sizing, instead it seems to be matching UK size.

    • +1

Aus and UK sizing are the same.

  • -2

Which sizes is correct? I thought us and aus were the same sizing yet iconic say. Normally buy 9.5 us but is this 10.5 us on iconic?

    • I'm always a 8.5US (7.5 Aus)

    • Idk who starting teaching people AUS sizing was the way to go. With major brands AUS sizing literally does not exist, you guys need to know your US sizing and European sizing as those would be universal.

  • Are kayano 28s true to size? Wearing kayano 25s atm?
    No 9.5US available:(

Amazing, picked up 2x pairs of Gel Nimbus 24's for $105/pair…insane price. Nice one OP.

    • Damn that’s a good deal ! I checked iconic and it’s back to full price :(

  • Thanks op.
Got my GEL-Kayano 28 men's, black on black for $115.
Unfortunately women's black on black is stil at $270, and black on white is at $189.

  • Thanks Op got me a pair!!

  • +1

I bought a pair of Kayano 25 from this deal, haven't started wearing yet, it's 28 now? :D

    • Kayano 29 was just released for $270.

  • -1

Not sure what all the fuss is about on Kayanos cause this was my first shoe and it is still the shittest shoe I've ever worn. Not trying to brag

    • -1

I bought a pair after all the great feedback. I would take a Ultraboost over these. I guess it dep da on how far you run etc, but they aren’t even that light, barely give any rebound energy at all, and aren’t even that comfy.

      • +7

Kayanos are proper stability distance running shoes, Ultraboosts are a neutral casual "lifestyle" running shoe, and the current model weighs more than the Kayanos.

I've had multiple versions of both, they're good for different reasons, if I was doing a long run I'd take the Asics every day of the week.

        • I mean what’s a long run? I do 10km twice a week with the Kayano 28. I used to do them with Ultraboost 21. When I do 5km I don’t really care what shoe I use, but anything longer I want some rebound and comfort. They are more stable 100%, but I run on concrete or paved areas 99% of the time so haven’t ever had any stability issues.

Also yes Ultraboost are lifestyle shoes only because they are fashionable, but they are running shoes. They aren’t anything great like my Nike Alphafly, but IMO they are still a good running shoe.

      • +1

I had the same sentiment. Last pair I had was Kayano 22's and they just felt heavy on the foot.

    • I heard Ultraboost is more for casual wearing and walking while Kayanos is more for running. I’ve already got a couple of Ultraboost thanks to OzBargain, not sure if I should buy a new Kayanos pair just for running.

      • +1

Depends how much you run and what your feet need. Try running in a pair of Ultraboost first. Ultraboost are running’s shoes.

    • +4

They're made for correcting over pronating feet, if you don't have that issue, then the shoe isnt for you - they aint for me, Nimbus are the one that suits my foot best.

      • This. These are a great shoe if they suit you, but are not for everyone
For me i want a ight flexible neutral shoe for running , not a stiff boot like these

        • Have you found one?

          • @PeeDee: I have been wearing Saucony Kinvara for many years, although I prefer the earlier versions, fortunately can still get them online.
Perfect shoe for me. Also has a low 4mm heel drop

      • +1

I have overpronation. I started off running in Kayano's and they were great, but then I found I was a bit faster in my Ultraboosts with no real negative side-effects.
        Not big distances though.
I might give the Kayanos another go.

      • The word Pronated got me curious. Googled and ended up trying the simple test as shown here and based on that, it appears I am flat footed.

So you're saying shoes like this Kayanos should help? Any other shoe worth checking for?

  • Got some nice size 12s for $140! Gonna wear these around.

Funniest thing is that I once bought some 'older' model ones and they have lasted me longer than the 270 dollars brand new ones…

  • +3

    2E / wides aren't included 😢

  • +1

Got the Black for $115. Bargain for the best running shoes going. Cheers OP!

  • Thanks OP.

  • +1

Hi OP, how can I get the black one for $115? Me here still showing 270. Thanks!

    • They are probably out of your size and gone back to the normal price.

    • +3

It appears Iconic’s own stock in black has sold out.

      • Damn :(

  • +1

Had kayanos once, very comfy and felt light but was butt ugly

  • Gonna try a pair thanks

  • Hi Guys
Please suggest the best model for walking purpose only. Casual walk. Light weight preferred. Appreciate suggestion.

    • Go to a proper shoe shop (e.g. the Athletes Foot) and get recommendation according to your foot type. You can try different models in the shoe shop and do some walking around the mall for comfort test. It is generally worth it if you plan to do any sort of long exercise (even walking).

  • What's the difference between regular Kayano and Kayano MK? Which one is more durable and comfortable? Cheers.

    • MK upper has a tighter "sock" like opening, like a Nike Flyknit shoe if you've worn that. The sole and cushioning should be the same.

Comfort depends on whether you prefer a tight fit or a traditional one. I own the MK and find it uncomfortable if I wear low socks as the knit digs into my ankle, but otherwise like the tight and secure fit. I'd go regular Kayano if in doubt.

      • Totally agree with this. Didn't realise the difference, bought the MK version, definitely a tighter fit

Only sizes 7, 7.5 and 14! This should need mentioned in the details! Ugh!

    • +5

Deal is 16 hours old. Plenty of choice before

  • Got a gel flux 5 over 4 years ago still going strong. May get these as a backup for when I eventually need to change, thanks op.
Edit: nothing available for my clown sized feet, better luck next time, lol.

  • I owned GEL-Kayano 27 4E and it was perfect for me. Then I bought GEL-Kayano 28 thinking it would be an upgraded. I was wrong. Personally I think 28 is worse than 27. They already released 29 and I'm not sure would it be better

  • My shoes look a bit like factory seconds. Anyone else had any issues?

    • pics? listed on the site that it's "fulfilled by our partner". Could be a parallel import or at worse a fake.

      • Just some black on the side of tread

  • Nothing left in Mens
