This monitor has a pretty high input lag at 60Hz.

    • Yep. Wanted to buy it but that paired with the dodgy hdmi 2.1 with half bandwidth left me unsure if I'd regret spending so much on something with issues

I pulled the trigger on this a while back, after months of "analysis paralysis". Was put off by the input lag and the rtings comment about using it in dark rooms.

But it's amazing and I have zero regrets, I don't notice any of these issues at all. But I'm no hardcore gaming type, and I was upgrading from a pretty old 60hz monitor.

        • That's good to hear! I'm in analysis paralysis and tossing up between it or the LG c2 42 which is a bit too big but resolves the issues the Dell has. How have you found the input lag?

          • @Ibz: I haven't noticed it at all. Most of my gaming is survival/crafting/automation games and sim racing, and I've literally never noticed any input lag.

@Ibz: I'm holding out for the Asus xg32uq. See how it compares.

@ifreddo: Ah nice, they specifically mention low latency AND full bandwidth. Keen to see rtings review on it in a few months. Still in analysis paralysis I guess lol

Got the 1440p version of this monitor and its pretty good.. but that cost me $420 :) no sure about double the price for 4k.. not that many games run well at 4k… a RTX3080 12gb gets 40FPS in cyberpunk at 4k :)

Turn on DLSS, or alternatively, turn down raytracing from the maximum… those settings are basically a tech demo for GPUs that haven't been released yet…

Nothing wrong with 4K performance if you know what you're doing with graphics settings, and nothing wrong with even the most basic forward thinking with a monitor purchase that should last you 2-4 graphics cards (ie. 6-10 years).

To suggest otherwise speaks of someone running through electronics the way they run through toilet paper, or someone who holds delusions about graphics performance and death rides 1440p for sub-240Hz experiences, I guess.

This panel also has absolutely nothing to do with the LG panel in the S2721DGF: it's from AU Optronics.

Also With ray tracing its 19FPS lol.. 40FPS is with no ray tracing.. i'm just pointing out 4k is silly

        • No, but your understanding of it is.

          Fair enough RE: the panel

    • Same.. i got that one as well…. not half bad for the price

  • Been wanting this for a while but I'm a one man hodl show for now

You'll have plenty of $500-$600 competing options soon enough. First one from Viewsonic has already bobbed up, just waiting on technical data.

      • ah nice, I'm a long time fan of Viewsonic and been using a vx2758-2kp-mhd as a secondary for a while now!
Just seems a shame to have the hardware sitting here and not be able to do 4k haha

  • Have monitor companies started replacing the display image from generic robot face to Stray now?

  • Got this one for a few months, cant fault it at all. Amazing color.

Comparing a QHD monitor to a UHD monitor is kinda meaningless.

      • totally missed that! cheers

  • Had one since a previous deal, great monitor and zero complaints

If you love fps, 60hz monitors won't do. You're better off going for 1440p G7. Trust me it will change your life ;)

      but it's 144hz…
