How much profit have you made? Did you report the profits to the ATO as income?
@Turd: I imagine it's just done via Facebook/Gumtree as a private sale and not through an ABN/Invoice so nothing reported.

While there is some retail stock around they are not selling the console by itself for $750 anymore you have to buy it bundled with other junk you don't want and pay closer to $850-900.
I guess this guy could sell it for $850 with some shovelware game thrown into the bundle that he got cheap somewhere to emulate the retail strategy but it's a bit of effort for $70-80 profit. Not like the pandemic years where you could flip these for $1000

Hopefully Sony can use the price increase to improve their supply.
I imagine the price increase is a marketing strategy so they can try and build a bit of supply to put it on an aggressive holiday sale come Christmas.
Hopefully next year we get a lower price than $750.

Sony is just not willing to wear the cost of hardware price increase and supply constraints.
