Hmmmm….Anyone know what "EPIITALIS" and "AQUAMIN" actually is?

Edit: EPIITALIS® is a proprietary plant seed oil high in essential fatty acids and patented for chondrocyte proliferation and anti-inflammatory properties.

Aquamin™ Forte is a marine-sourced multi-mineral calcium complex derived from the cytoskeleton of the red algae. It contains 72 trace mineral co-factors for bone health, including zinc, magnesium and selenium.

It’s always reassuring when they won’t explicitly state what the magic beans are made from /s

      • It's a plant extract, Biota orientalis I think is the original plant.

“Dogs don't have the placebo effect”

Sure but it’s not the dog that is reporting the efficacy is it? It’s the owner

    • I don't push products I don't believe in. I've done the assessment on the animals a good month after they have been on this, and they are significantly less painful on the dog equivalent. The animal products have extensive studies to back it too. But it's an option for those that are finding general pain meds ineffective.

It’s nice that you “believe” in it

Unfortunately I could only find one small study in humans, and the authors all work for the company that makes it (with no conflict of interest declaration apparent)

Not what most would consider independent evidence

        • Like I said I can only vouch for the animal studies and the benefits I have personally seen

Hey OP, do you have any affiliation with the company that makes or sell this?

    • First post and has been a member since 2011, weird

      • Sadly I'm not great at finding deals that haven't already been posted.

Plus felt bad when I saw a post the other day bagging people out that hadn't ever posted so thought I'd contribute something

        • Fair enough, good on ya

    • Nope not at all, just a vet that really likes the effect on my sore knee, and know a few other people on it that think the same for their arthritis

How is this different from Glucosamine Sulfate & Chondroitin, and is it better? After my knee op it (G&C) was recommended by the surgeon and worked brilliantly. Also, what does the first 389 bottles mean? The first 389 that you buy, or 20% off for the first 389 customers? And why such a weird number? This whole post is strange.

    • That's what the email said lol I thought it was odd too but 20% was good for me.
Glucosamine and chondroitin are the older approaches to improving joint health, pretty average studies about effectiveness, good if used in multimodal therapy (anti-inflammatory as well as trying to improve the joint health). Again can only relay what I've seen in animals, but this works much more effectively than G&C, reduces inflammation and improves the joint cartilage.
