Is also available direct on the EA Origin store for $3.99 also for those who prefer it there. That's where i just bought it because that's where all my other Need for Speed games are located on.

steam one links it to your origin anyway. so you get the added benefit of having it in steam

      • That's good for those who want it on Steam. I've had all my NFS games on Origin only so there was no point getting this through Steam for me.

    It's free with Xbox pass

    • +13

      xboxpass is not free

      • -7

Who said that it is free?

        • Then, who asked if this game is free on xboxpass?

          • -1

@javawoo: I think dosada's comment has merit.. Nothing more annoying than buying a game and then finding out you had it already on gamepass…
Obviously not everyone has gamepass but lots do

            • +1

@OzViper: I'm just sharing if someone thinks Xbox gampass is free and spend time on looking at it.

    • +3

Yeah iT's fReE …if you already paid for it via subscription

      • +4

And then it's not yours anymore once they remove the game from the subscription library too

      • +1

You don't get to keep the game. And it's not free to obtain such a subscription.

Buying the game means you get to keep it and it stays on your game library. One purchase price and it's yours to play with no more monthly money payment required in the future to play it. So no it was never actually free with a subscription unless you got the subscription for free.

    • since you are talknig abou this, it's also included in EA Play

NFS underground was my favourite edition. Wish they would revamp it with a newer modern version to take advantage of more powerful gpu/cpu setups.
Haven't tried this version so i will give it a go :D
    Thanks OP

They will probably fill with micro transactions. There’s a fan modded one you can download as it’s basically abandonware now that pushes the resolution up to 4k and makes the textures look decent

Legit my fav NFS game of all time, one of the few games i'd happily pay for a remaster :)

  • +5

I might never play it, as I have plenty of games that I never touched across different platforms, but I will still get it for $3.99

    • +4

      That's the attitude!

    • Nice story.

Sounds like OP has had bad experiences when it comes to paying for pleasure ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

    • Lmao! Does sound kinda suss :-P

    • I have a feeling OP was referring to getting married

  • This looks pretty good. I used to love the Need for Speed games.

I was just replaying NFS Rivals, still good fun, wish we got another Burnout though.

My memory might be wrong but, wasn't this game originally on PSP?

    • +1

Your memory is wrong. Because this game was only ever released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game was released in 2017 so it's far too new for the PSP. You must be thinking of an older Need for Speed game.

Thank you for your reply and you're 100% right about this. But I'll tell you something really weird: I thought I posted the above comment under this deal. And that's exactly why I said like that, because this game looks so much like a PSP title called Wipeout released about one and a half decade ago.

Now here comes the only question: how come I posted my comment here? You know, when I saw your reply, I was like "wtf is this Need for Speed crap? What is this guy talking about?" But after I figuted out I was so astonished. Is it possible that I might have actully posted my comment there but it was randomly moved here due to some unknown system activities at the backend? I don't know. This is so weird…

  • This game was quite a bit fun until the micro transaction kicks in.

    • This is the Deluxe version instead of the standard base version. So it's possible that this version already has some of those micro transactions already included in the DLC.

      • I played the deluxe version. However to complete the game (I mean really 100% it, meaning going into collection mode, kind of like that) then microtransactions are unavoidable.

I'd say to see microtransaction in a console/standalone game in the first place is wrong.

        • +1

Is it not possible to use PC mods to get around that? Feel like I've seen it mentioned before.

          • @andigaming: You can unlock all DLCs but not micro transactions. Late game rewards are pathetic and far away from what’s needed to get all upgrades and collectables. Basically forcing you to pay unless you want to waste time hoarding in-game currency.
