Cuckoo IH 10 Cup Rice/Pressure Cooker $476.79 Delivered to Metro @ Sello-Products eBay

SPRSEL

I recently purchased this rice cooker during the afterpay sale for $506.59 from the same ebay seller and am really happy with it. Still had it on my watch list and saw the price drop even lower 😭

Prior to owning this I had only ever boiled rice in a pot of water and the difference with using this is huge. Taste and texture are both many times better, but this is the only rice cooker I've used, so cheaper cookers may very well do the exact same job.

I can say that the build quality of this unit is very impressive and cleaning it is very simple. The user interface is a little confusing at first and the manual it comes with is terrible, filled with spelling mistakes and formatting issues like it wasn't proof read at all. So far I have only cooked white rice with the same setting and it's comes out perfect every time.

I am keen to try out its pressure cooking functions for cooking things other than rice but I haven't explored that far with it yet.

Note: Shipping fee may apply to certain states and postcodes. WA: $45.73, Regional NSW $37.27

Update: Previously sold out but the merchant continues to restock in limited quantities.

    • A bit silly, I know. I like to buy good quality appliances so hopefully I have it for many years to come. Not to say a cheaper rice cooker won't last as long or longer than this, but in general you get what you pay for and the build quality of this cooker is really good.

  • Wow.. I'll stick to my 15 dollar kmart special.

  • Great deal. I'm korean which is I know this cooker very well. Ive been AU for 8years. 6years ago, when I visited my country and came back, what I did was… put this cuckoo rice coocker in my carry lugguage. Since then i was crying with my rice taste with cuckoo. This is AMAZING one. Please beilive me.My friends said i was too much for the rice cooker but when they tried my rice from my home, they went to korea and put this one into thier flight lugguage.(you can not put anything then) This Brand is number one in my country and we are really serious about rice as much as we do to kimch. You should try it. i strongly recommend ussing it with a sushi gread rice, you will cry like what I was. It has a slow cooker funtion also and keep your rice at lease 3days with same taste.

    • Any thoughts about Cuckoo vs Tiger?

  • Although the online manual for this model states that this unit has NFC smart functions, ie you can connect your Cuckoo app to it via your Android mobile phone, it seems that this one being sold does not have it.

Does anyone here know about the NFC functionality with this model?

  • Anyone received theirs yet?

    • I received mine, but it doesn't have NFC. It may be a cheaper model than that on their eBay store which shows the NFC model in their photo.

      • It’s listed as CRP-CHSS1009F

If I’m not mistaken the one with nfc is the CRP-CHSS1009FN

Edit : actually, it doesn’t look like any Australian model has nfc. Can’t see it listed in any specs?

        • There is no CRP-CHSS1009F model on the item or the box I received, ie without the FN at the end. It might be a typo on their ad but the photo shows the model with FN at the end, and interestingly the model I received also has the CRP-CHSS1009FN on the front. It just doesn't have the NFC logo on the top underneath the ECO logo.

I think you are right that Australia may not get the NFC model. Interestingly New Zealand does.
Australian Cuckoo site: https://cuckooworld.com.au/cuckoo-ih-10-cup-pressure-rice-co… No mention of NFC.
New Zealand Cuckoo site: https://cuckoonz.co.nz/product/10-cups-smart-ih-high-pressur… "The CRP-CHSS1009FN is CUCKOO’s first 10 cup Full Stainless rice cooker with Smart NFC function." The third "Key Feature" states, "Smart NFC Function"

What is most confusing is that the NFC and non-NFC models both have exactly the same model number, so how are we meant to know what we are getting, especially if the ad shows the NFC model in the photos?!

          • @d123: What did the NFC function do anyway?

            • @Morien: Allows you to use the Cuckoo Android app to make all selections, recipes etc, and tap and transfer everything to the cooker.
