          @swingingudders: I've just been on the eye out for a cheap keyboard for the little ones so I can jam out some Metallica on so hoped this would sort it but not sure as they'd need headphones and just wanted something similar to piano keyboards

    Midi controllers are more for connecting to a computer and sending MIDI, like with a DAW.

    Have you considered a cheap keyboard on Gumtree?

      Yeah I've been keeping and eye out but this was in the price range and new and figured with midi functions it could do more. Probably not what I'm after

  Wanted to buy something like this for my kid for a while - If only it was IOS compatible as ipad is a great combo.
  Had my eye on the Novation 25 key, only thing holding me back is finding suitable software package that isn't a monthly or annual subscription.
