  • dis good shit right?

    Love the $50 haggle option!

  • +4

    Good deal :)

Asus PRIME B460M is for Intel CPUs?

So is it a Ryzen CPU or Intel?

    • Going to make for a tough build with those specs ;-)

    • Just fixed the description, thanks!

      • +1

Any chance of a 3080 build deal soon?

        • +2

Yep. With a 12Gb card and an i7-12700K around the $2k price. I'm probably dreaming, but it sure would be nice.

          • @cornbeef: 12GB cards are phasing out, but new 3080 Super (maybe this name) is on the way.

  • +8

RTX 3060 Ti Dual Mini 8GB V2 Video Card

Can I complain two years down the line that I got shortchanged with a lesser GPU?

    • -3

It's already a sub-par GPU for the prices the standard models go for. The mini must be terrible.

  • +1

Now if we could have some Graphics Card deals please :)

    • +1

      Yes please!

  • +1

    that NV1 SSD tho

  • +8

Good deal, but you definitely want the 5600 upgrade.

  • -4

    CPU nope, Ram nope HODL….

    • What’s wrong with the RAM?

    • Come on 8gb ram was back 5 years ago….

      • +2

It's just how they frame it in the specs
        8 GB (1 x 8GB) - DDR4-3200/PC4-25600 DDR4 SDRAM x 2

        x 2 =16gb

  • What's the difference between the Kraken and Siren series? Price points?

  • +1

You really should have motherboards with on board wifi

    • +5

If you're using wifi with a "gaming pc" then you're doing it wrong.

      • +3

The pc will be used for more than just gaming.
        And not everyone plays online

        • Then it's nothing a usb wifi or pci card can't fix.

          • +1

@Willy Beamish: Still would prefer built in wifi and should be an option

            • @maverickjohn: You can get a wifi card for like $30

              • +3

@b2dz: But then it won't be as portable and I'll have things sticking out of it. Actually, they should even include a touch screen in the tower too and a battery to power it on the go so I can use it in the cafe while having my morning coffee. Not everyone games!

      • +8

WiFi 6/ax, especially 2x2, is very acceptable for gaming.

        • Obviously wifi can be "acceptable", doesn't mean it's optimal. Your wireless is always susceptible to interference outside of your control where ethernet isn't.

      • +3

I've been using WiFi for years on my PC. In fact, since the Xbox 360 came out with WiFi capabilities, I've been gaming that way and have had no issues.

  • How does this build compare to the $1298 offer by techfast? In terms of overall performance?

    • +1

I am not expert, just my opinions
I think techfast’s one is faster for gaming, but you don’t know the brands of the parts they are using (probably cheapest available to them) and cost more.

    • +3

If you upgrade this build to the 5600 (highly recommended) then the 3070 is ~15% faster than the 3060 Ti. But ~$200 for the 3070 is a steep upgrade, so I think this system is better value.

      • +1

        Thanks champ!

  • +2

    Oooh lucky dip computer case

  • All the dropdowns are mis-labelled on the form for me. e.g. Processor upgrade dropdown is labelled "SSD Upgrade Option". Is that just me?

    • Looks fine to me

      • It's fine this morning from my home computer but was jumbled yesterday from work. I wonder what was going on.

  • What GPU is the 3 fan upgrade model?
Also what is the RGB Ram model?

Any chance of a 3070 upgrade option?

    • +3
      1. Most likely we will use Gigabyte 3060Ti Gaming OC or MSI Ventus 3X.

      2. RGB RAM we will use Kingston Beast RGB Series.

      3. I would say yes for this upgrade but this is an RTX3060Ti build. Please talk to our sales at our business hours to discuss:)

  • Bit the bullet, hopefully it runs Roblox at 30fps+

  • Would this work for 4K Gaming or would it only be suitable for 1440p or 1080p gaming?

    • +1

Def not 4K gaming. But if you can spring for a decent 4K monitor, you can spring for a better system

    Hi BPC Rep,
Could I get some help on this!
    BPCINV00307145
    JOB No.: BPC000146891
I ordered the KrakenPower EOFY Special RTX 3090 Gaming System back in June and there's an issue with the setup. The left glass panel of the casing won't close due to the CPU Cooler Fan(Noctua NH-D15S) protruding inside the case. Is this a common issue? I've brought it to a repair shop and was told that I have to replace either the fan to close it or just buy a new case. Please advise on a solution, thanks!

    • +1

Try move the fan from the middle of the cooler to the outside, so it can sit closer to the motherboard. Performance will be basically the same, rather than installing a smaller fan.

    • +1

      Hi fgambino111,

I've transferred the message to the RA team, and they will contact you shortly.

Based on my experience, the method based on Shacktool's comment is quite accurate. Most likely, the support team will give you a very similar solution.

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

  • Cani buy it without gpu and price?

  • Hey BPC Rep,
We're looking at ordering the Siren Vortex Nidhogg Intel GeForce GTX 1660 Super Gaming PC with Ryzen5 5500 upgrade ($828). What would the estimated build time be? We can pick up from you if needed, as we need this b4 the end of month to take to the brother-in-law in Adelaide. Thanks!

    • +1

Don't let me tell you how to spend your money, but this deal is much better.

A 3060ti is around 60% faster than a 1660 super. You also get a much better power supply, a 700w PSU vs 500w PSU. Just comparing current prices of GPUs, a 3060ti is around $350 more expensive than a 1660 super

      • Yep Shacktool definitely agree with Shacktool

      • +1

Thanks Shacktool but this won't be used for gaming. My b-i-l is only going to use it for photo editing. Needs to have reasonable graphics processing, and I'm looking more for value for money here. FYI his current desktop PC is 14 years old, so this will obliterate what he currently has. Thanks for the suggestion though…

    • Hi Ozron,

We are looking at 2-5 business days to prepare the build for dispatch. For the PC's safety, Pick-up is definitely welcomed especially as you mentioned it's a gift for your family member.

You can choose in-store pick up or courier delivery at the checkout page :)

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

      • Thanks have ordered and looking forward to picking it up in around a week.

        • Thanks for your business! Don't hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance!

          • @BPC Technology: Picked up today, after 2 1/2 hour round trip from other side of town. Got it home and DOA! Have been checking all internal connections, but will not power on. So much for testing & QC.

Will find out how good their support service is now.

            • @ozron: Looks like a dead PSU. It happens I guess…

              • @ozron: Hi ozron .

Can you share your order details through the PM? I will ask the operation manager to get involved and help you with the warranty asap.

                Cheers,

  • Hey OP, deal description has 16gb RAM. Only 8gb in the deal.

    • Read it again, it’s 2x 8Gb sticks.

  • +1

    12700k and 3080ti

ATX MB with 2 USB C mainboard

And at least additoonal 6 USB 3.2 ports

Built in bluetooth and wifi 6 mainboard

    Can you make this spec

  • Which of the upgrades are worthwhile/recommended/value for money?

    I’m thinking:
    CPU: up to 5600
Mobo: unsure if the upgrades are worth it?
Cooler: no, same price as retail so can pick something else?
Ram: thinking yes to 16GB RGB as has heat spreaders and looks nicer, thinking the 32GB not worth it for gaming?
SSD/HDD: up to the 1tb nvme rather than adding a 1tb HDD?
GPU: unsure if there is any benefit of the 3 fan version over the mini?

    Thoughts/suggestions?

    • +1

CPU: 5600x or 5700x if you have extra money
      Mobo: no need to change
Cooler: wait for a deal, stock cooler will be noisy. I also prefer air coolers but prebuilts always use AIOs as air coolers break when shipped installed.
Ram: you don't need heat spreaders on RAM. 32gb isn't necessary, can wait for a deal and add later.
SSD/HDD: buy some external hdds and shuck them
GPU: 3 fan would be quieter, but very close to 3070 pricing. might as well ask for a 3070 upgrade

      • What about Wi-Fi upgrade? I can’t get direct Ethernet connection to the mesh router in my setup.

        • They sell an internal intel wifi ac card for $39

You don't need the ax unless you have a wifi 6 router, if you want something good look for a wifi card with intel AX 210 chip (can be any brand manufacturer), with external antennas.

Neither of the motherboard upgrades includes wifi.

    • I ended up going with the 5600 not the X, from reviews they said unless it was only a very small bump in price it wasn’t worth it to go with the X for the tiny performance increase.

I also upgraded the mobo to the top model as it has two 16x slots and 2 nvme slots, so tried future proof a little.

Also upgraded the Ram to the RGB ram as it’s faster CL than the standard ram (which was also the advice for going the non X - faster ram over the X)

I upped the ssd to the 1TB model for a bit more space for games (and faster than adding a HDD)

And lastly I upgraded the case to the bigger deepcool case for more cooling options down the track…

$1314 posted, I didn’t think that was too bad.

      • +1

I think so, I paid more for my 3070ti…

      • @BPC Technology my pc arrived today, very happy with it aside from one thing, you listed that it would have the “EVGA 700 GQ 700W 80+ Gold Semi-Modular Power Supply”, mine came with an EVGA 700 GD 700W 80+ Gold non-modular PSU. I wanted a modular PSU so that I didn’t have all the excess cables stuffed in the bottom. Are you able to send me the semi-modular GQ PSU and I can do the swap?

        • Hi Birdie,

No problem, can you send me your order number through a private chat? I will ask the support team to contact you now.

          Cheers,
          BPC Team

  • hi, I'm trying to get my first PC and am very unknowledgeable.
What should I be upgrading on this and is it better than the other $1298 build on techfast?
Also, I don't understand the wifi options. Which one is better and what would it mean for me not to include it? If I add Windows, will I have to activate it myself and is it a complex process?
    Sorry for so many questions.

    • Installation of Windows is not that hard, but it can take a while, especially with updates etc. A YouTube guide should be enough.

      Activation is very easy.

P.S. the other deal has SSDs with with Windows on them already (if I remember correctly) so all you would need to do there is just activate it (which as simple as redeeming a code on Xbox, Playstation, etc).

  • You can get an OEM version of Windows 11 Pro 64 bit on DVD disc for $179 which I think is a good price for a 100% legit product (but I haven't checked the deals on OzBargain yet, so there may be better deals on Windows OS there).

    https://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/redirect.cgi?name=UMart…

    • Or even win10 keys for sub 20, legitimacy to be determined at a later date. But if you're on a budget, anything that activates will do the trick for now.

      • True

  • Hi Rep it is now showing $1099, any change on the parts?

Also if no Windows option is selected, will the system come with OS(unactivated) on it?

    Cheers
