Battery only guaranteed 70% capacity and 30 days warranty. That's a tough sell.

Edit: battery is only rated for 300 cycles (it was released 5 years ago) and was only max 6 hours new. Use this for a few months and it'll basically be a desktop.

The only redeeming factor is you can buy a new battery for $65-$70.

    • its 6 months hardware warranty on it.
      30 days returns

      • Note: (30- day warranty applies to Battery and Extended warranty does not cover battery

        The hardware isn't the problem?

    • I have this exact laptop as an old work laptop.
Was replaced because battery life was less than 60 minutes.

I currenlty have the refurb Latitude 7490, battery life is 6 hours. Can't even compete.

just an FYI - the CPU isn't supported with Windows 11

    • not officially supported but it can run it

  • Is this a good purchase for my mum? Or is the machine too old?

    • +1

      It's fine

    • It's not that the machine is obsolete, but that it's six years old now, that's six years of battery use. Factor in the cost of a battery replacement in your decision.
That said, I wouldn't buy any computer that's not 8th Gen or above, because anything else actually is pretty close to obsolete now.

Dual core CPU turbo up to 3.10 GHz is quite weak and laptop at this age is nearly end of life.

  • Why is this a deal in view of..???

  • Any cheaper without windows?

no mate, its the same price.

WE INSTALL WINDOWS IN EVERY PRODUCT THAT WE SELL TO CHECK THE MACHINE THOROUGHLY.

  • Does it handle dell docks via USB c

    • sorry it does not

  • Got mine today , slight scratches on top , but bearly noticeable, screen and keyboard like new , snappy little machine given its age , perfect for my use, will run a battery report after a week , but so far so good
