Am old and 'Tech-unsavvy'. I am currently enjoying Kayo for the NRL. BASIC Telstra Consumer 12 month offer, $10 off per mth for 12mths (ie $15 pcm)
I don't know if this is a 'contract' for 12 months or just an offer that has a 12 month duration. Is there anything to prevent me from cancelling it at the end of the NRL season, and recommencing it for 2023 season?
Do you apply the $100 GC and it stays as a credit in your account and the monthly fee is deducted until zero and then your direct debit continues? Regardless of your deal, you could buy this card and basically get 25% off whatever you are on I would say, ut not sure about how quickly it needs to be used. Standard for gift cards I think is 3 years, but not sure if these are the aame
Thanks for that info. I only use it for the NRL. If I am not on a contract then I am happy to cancel before the promotion period ends. And then get a new account, at whatever rate, for the next NRL season.
Yeah that's what most people do, and we did the same last year and go back on to the 15 dollar deal. The bit I don't know about is how I can just use this to pay, is it like a credit card or something else (e.g voucher code)

For the months between the AFL Grand Final and Round 1 in the following year, there's F1, cricket (Inc all Big Bash games) and NFL for me.
Warning: Streamotion (Kayo & Binge) seems to have a current issue processing gift cards on their website, meaning you can't add the code yourself and have to email their support team with a photo of the card.
Seemed straightforward enough until they told me last week that you have to have an active Streamotion account before they can manually add the card balance for you. If you're a new customer you could start a free trial, but as a previous customer who'd paused my account they're telling me the only way they can add the balance is if I pay for a month upfront on my credit card - kind of defeats the point of buying cheap gift cards!
As far as I can tell, when their site is working correctly and you can add a card yourself you don't need to have an already active account, so we have to pay extra due to their technical issue!
Ive been waiting 2 weeks for them to fix this issue and add my kayo GC. 2 follow-up emails and still nothing.
@Hojupeter can they not fix it all, or are you like me refusing to pay for an extra month on credit card to make it work?
I kept getting the same template response from people at [email protected], and they eventually referred me to [email protected] who I emailed on Friday night
Yep have same issue with card from costco on 26 aug. They did say could bring it back for refund. May just do that now as it cost me $85. Then buy one for $75.
@Hojupeter they added $50 of my $100 card within a few days, asked them about the remaining $50 and they acknowledged they missed it and would fix it up. A week and 4 emails later and I'm still missing $50 of the gift card value and they're not responding to any emails.
I am steering clear of these gift cards until they allow you to add them to your account yourself.

Save it for the start of the next footy season if you only use Kayo for AFL/NRL. Otherwise you can put it towards your Binge or Flash subscription if you have one.
Good for NFL fans with season starting now and lasting around 4 months, get 5 extra games per week on ESPN in addition to the 2 on 7mate. Also NBA starting in one month and you get a few games live each week there too.

Going to have to take my gift card back to Costco and ask for a refund:
As above, Kayo's site has an issue meaning you can't add the gift card details yourself and have to ask their 'support' team to manually add it, however they refuse to do so if I don't reactivate my account first by paying for an extra month upfront on my credit card. When I asked where this requirement is in their terms and conditions, they ignore my emails and the online chat mysteriously disconnects!
Does anyone know if this is able to be stacked with the Telstra offers (ie $17.50 per month for basic instead of $25)?
