  • With current free boost sim cards being provided by CR, not sure if anyone needs it ATM.

I already have 1 pending to activate but damn free monthly boost sim from CR

    • +1

What and who is CR and where may I get this free sim

      • +1

I think it means Cash Rewards.

  • +6

any deals on the $200 sims?

  • +2

Has anyone recently tried calling customer service to this as a recharge instead of new sim?

    • +2

Did this a week ago but through live chat - no trouble at all although I did see some posts before where it didn’t work and the person had to try a different person to get them to do it.

      • +1

Does your data get rolled over when you apply a new 365-day recharge?

        • No. Data does not get rolled over.

      • I just bought Boost Sim 200 to use as recharge, can you please elaborate on how to do this, is live chat in app or web site?
Also do you chat with them before or after activating the sim. Thanks

          Hey Huntabargin,

i'm currently doing this atm and speaking with their live chat https://boost.com.au/pages/web-message-us, just say that you accidentally bought the 200$ prepaid sim pack thinking that it was a recharge, and then what they will do is transfer your existing number to the new SIM. had no issues with this.

    • +1

Did this on 6 September through Live Chat. It didn't work initially and I had 2 numbers! Contacted them again the next day (after 24hrs) with the reference number from initial chat and they fixed it in 2 minutes. So it ended up great! Way better than porting.

  • Looking for 365 day recharge plan…

    • You have come to the right place. Whoops sorry, recharge, ain’t going to happen!

    • +9

We'd prefer it if you'd waste your time, our employees time, and make a minor contribution to landfill by buying a new sim card and porting each year.

  • This seller is excellent. Shipped my last order very fast.

    • Thank you for your feedback.
We do try our best to ship the items out Normally within 24-48 hours after the clear funds are received.

  • Yeah very happy with boost so far bought this Sim on the last deal nearly two months ported in and works well.

  • I'm already with boost. Would I need to buy another carrier's sim, port over to them, and then get ported back to boost?

    • No, you can do it via live chat on boost Web site. Buy this and then contact boost.

      • Do you activate the new sim before calling them?

        • Did you find out how to do it, live chat first or activate?

  • Is Boost now permanently on Telstra 5G? Their website and past guidance has been a bit of a mess, as the story kept changing. iPhone 14 is also an eSim and Boost didn't support this previously. I need it for my Apple watch. Does anyone know if Boost has or will start supporting eSim? I'm paying way too much to retain these features with Telstra.

Same price with Boost but less data.

      • How does this work?

So total cost is $224.40 for 200gb of data for the year?

I haven't touch prepaid stuff for years lol

      • Telstra 365 day pre paid Sim 300 does not have International roaming. I doubt it will have 5G or even eSim as well.

        • +1

It does have 5G and esim, using both atm. Not sure about roaming but Telstra has Wifi calling working overseas so I don’t really care about roaming.

          • -1

@hawkeye93: I am not saying if roaming is essential or no, I am just stating facts for others. So 5G is only a trial and not permanent feature! Boost have WIFI calling and I believe Boost also had trial period of 5G as well. But 5G is meaningless if you are on prepaid anyway as you have limited Data allowance.

            • @huntabargain: Boost wifi calling does not work overseas atm according to some users, unlike Telstra.

          • @hawkeye93: So you are using it with a phone and another device with eSim, like a watch? I am on a relatively expensive plan with Telstra and they charge $5 extra a month for me to have the watch eSim, so I don't know how they can give it to someone for free on pre-paid. Is the 5G access only temporary on the service? I remember Telstra were going to give other customers a taste of 5G for a limited time in the hope of dragging them across to their higher priced plans, as they cut the service off to them later in the year.

      • Do you get 5G with the Telstra prepaid though? I had a look on the telstra site and it says 4G, then when i go to 5G it lists all these plans that aren't good value prepaid ones.

        • +3

Currently on 5G trial until November for prepaid. I’m using it now.

  • Grabbed one, hopefully it arrives before cutoff ;)

  • +1

Worth noting that Boost currently does not provide global roaming. Was a bit annoying when travelling overseas because it can impact use of 2FA etc.

    https://boost.com.au/blogs/help-topics/using-your-phone-over…

They say it will be back eventually…

    • Just wondering if you can you receive, make calls and send sms while overseas on WIFI calling?

      • Didn't work for me. You can try.

        • I use WIFI calling in Australia when signal is weak (phone automatically revert to WIFI calling). Wonder what is difference if home or overseas?

      • I was getting sms' from mygov while I was in NZ - not sure about the rest of those.

    • Just got back from a 7 week EU + Central Asia holiday - my boost prepaid simcard was receiving 2FA sms from banks - but no other including voicemail notifications.

      • can you make or receive calls on WIFI while overseas?

        • sorry thats not a function I use so cant answer.

I run a dual-sim phone and grabbed an EU simcard as soon as I arrived.

  • What happens if you don't activate before 26/09? Do you just lose the bonus 40GB?

Asking because current prepaid expires in December.

    • Yes that's right.
      Thank you

  • Does this company give you any feedback on purchases, made payment and nothing, no email, text or confirmation??

Should I just get a hold of PayPal asap?

    • Hi,
Sometimes the confirmation emails go to junk mails. Please see your junk mail.
      Kind regards
      support team

      • Whoops, found it :)

  • Hi i was wondering when my sim card will be sent? I paid as of midday on the 13th? Hoping to use it next week :)

    • I ordered on the 13th, says delivery on 20th.

      • Hi,
Would you mind using our business email to send us your order number?
All the orders received on 13th Sep have been shipped out.
        Thank you

        • Why, it’s fine. I found the email with the tracking number, so alls is good

  • Currently says out of stock. Can you please advise when you will be getting more of these in. My Son's plan finishes tomorrow and this is a great deal for him. :-)

    • They have Boost Sim200 for $152, might be worth it? But if his sim expires tomorrow, then you left it too late as it takes couple of days to process order and few days to ship it??

      • Thanks so much huntabargain. He is currently at home and is only 14 so he doesn't need it in a hurry. :-)

    • Hi,
will update if you receive more stock.
      Thanks

  • I’m thinking to purchase one now.
Would you think it will arrive before 26th Sep?

    • Buy what?? it is OOS.

      • Whoops. Thanks.
I thought it is back on stock since it is not marked expired.
