Have seen a few posts for longer MFi-certified cables and came across these UGREEN ones on Amazon. Personally, I don't mind the ugreen items as I have used them heaps in the past without issues.

The prices listed are for Prime members, hence the [Prime] tag.

I found UGreen are generally quite good, however I thought the ones I bought thru Amazon were Cheaper?
    IE A 2M USB-C to A $8.24

The ones you linked are different to the ones in the post though. Your link is for a USB-A to USB-C cable.

These ones are USB-C/USB-A to Lightning cables (ones made for iphones, airpods, ipads)

Yes, I was just using that as an example. I don't think I've bought any U-Green lightning cables, as I'm trying to minimise lightning cables.
I'm hoping Apple wake up and make their Entry level 10th Gen iPad USB-C, like nearly every other device available today.

ahhh the dream! would be great to have a standard connector across them all!!

@spikiii: Mind you, I discovered a Musical device I bought brand new still used the original mini-B (or Micro B?)

            • @BewareOfThe Dog: The big mini-B ones, like this? holy moly that would be a pain to make sure you always have one of those cables around!

@whitlam: Yes, the Iphone 14 should have had it, but Apple probably have a heap of Lightning Plugs to get rid of.
I suspect, Apple will be Wireless on Iphones soon anyway, but that would annoy a great deal of Musos etc.

    I use U-green and it's quite good.

      Seconding this.

I have a pile of garbage USB-C cables I use for charging and/or data from cheap sellers on eBay and AliExpress. They either don't charge fast enough, don't carry data, the magnet gimmick is rubbish, fray over time due to bending or simply don't fit the device you want to charge (Sony earbuds case in my scenario)

Got sick of it and forked our for ugreen cables, haven't had a single issue. Been a year or two by now

  • Guess I'm one of the ones that always seem to get bad runs with Ugreen. Got a few ugreen usb c cables and after a while it just doesn't super fast/fast charge. In the car, I'll get the message 'check if cable plugged in properly'. Haven't had that issue with Baseus cables.

I haven't bought these ones, however I've bought other non-braided Ugreen ones and they all have died.

      • Oh yep, mine were the none braided ones too. The wires not even bent or anything but it always eventually has problems charging

    • ive had cables, devices from them for years and I buy more regularly and every one of them works fine.

  • Can anyone recommend a usbc hub? Thanks

      Targus. Expensive, but good.

Dockmule, when I get mine from China.

  • I got a nylon braided U-Green guitar lead and its the worst cable ive had in a while.

Nylon braiding is extremely stiff, rough feeling and microphonic. avoid it.

    • Nux Wireless is the way to go.

      • -1

Wireless is not an option for environmentally minded

        • +1

I think he means wireless guitar, not charging, and while I tend to agree with you, Wireless charging is pretty handy.

    • +1

I agree. This cable works fine but it’s so thick and stiff it feels like your plugging a 240V power cord into your phone.

I wouldn’t recommend it unless you don’t care about the above.

    Seems over priced?

      Apple tax inclusive

  • what's MFi?

and anyone know the length of iPhone cable included in the box?

    • Made for iPhone (means it meets the minimum spec to be branded as MFI, inc. genuine chip in the cable.)

      3ft/0.9M

      • Thanks mate

  • Can these be used to transmit data?

    • scratch that… it says "480Mbps Data Sync [MFi-Certified]"
