    You need subscription only if you want to store recordings. Not required for live streaming

        Ring doorbell has to be connected to wifi, and you can access from the phone app from anywhere. Without a subscription, you can only see/answer live events. If you miss a ring/motion, you cannot review at later stage. Cost is $40 a year.

    Yeah normally I don’t really get into privacy stuff, but what Ring does with your data is actually really bad. Wouldn’t trust them at all.

      Meh. I'm happy for authorities to have emergency access to my information or cameras for the greater good.

      I'd be much more concerned about the "really bad" things that could happen if we didn't allow police to counter evil with the use of such resources…
