Very good deal, if you receives 2 consecutive offers. 😉

Can you utilise 2 consecutive offers?

      • +2
        • Excellent! Thanks!

        • +3

Coles glitch shopping at its finest.

      • +1

Not always but most of the time :yes.

    • How do you get both 1.2k offers since the dates do not overlap ie. 1st offer Wed 14 Sep to Fri 16 Sep 2022 and 2nd offer Sat 17 Sep to Tue 20 Sep 2022.

      • +1

That's a loophole exits for a long time. I don't want to jeopardize it, don't spread. Hints, use them together before expired.

        • Damnnn, all this time receiving these offers. thanks heaps OO

          • @naruto128: My pleasure. By the way, what date is today? 😉

            • @O O: Do you need to active both? or just first one?

              • @Sean 8738: I always activate both before shopping. I'm not sure it'll work if you activate the first one, go shopping, then activate the other later.

                • @O O: Thanks O O, I will give it a go today! and hopefully many to come.

            • @O O: Tried it last Fri 16 and no bonus points, not even the first 1.2k

          • +1

@naruto128: It's been discussed many times!

            • +1

I got 3.. but I struggle to spend more than $10 at coles. I just stocked up on heaps of tuna, pasta and passatta so I can cook my dog's food.

      • Your dog must be love you a lot. 😁

        • One of them dribbles so hard he blows bubbles when it's dinner time and the floor becomes slippery haha. It's cheaper than dog food and better for them.. plus they don't stink the house out!

    • I noticed my shopping on Friday (16th of Sept) is showing in my Flybuys app as a transaction but with no bonus points. I had activated both offers hours before my shopping.

Did anyone else not get any bonus points from Friday purchase?

      • Yes, I spent on 2 accounts and one of them received no points and the other only 1 x 1200. I will claim the missing ones but not the double-up amount. I have tried it before and does not work.

        • Tried it last Fri 16 and no bonus points, not even the first 1.2k. Think they finally fixed the loophole? Got the same double offers this week so will try one more time today to confirm.

          • @naruto128: You must be doing something wrong if you don't get at least one of your 1200 points

            • @ironworthy: Cant understand where. I made sure to activate both prior to spend. @Yola has the same problem.

              • +1

@naruto128: silly question but did you remember to scan your fly buys card at checkout? or if you have more than one, scanned the correct one?

                • @ironworthy: Definitely scanned the card as the number appears on the receipt. Anyway good news is that I tried again on fri but this time activate at least 2 hours prior and scanned the card barcode from the app and got my points. Yay

              • @naruto128: Yes, exactly the same also on 16 Sept. Definitely scanned card as base points appeared and I have a sc and checked that it was correct card, and I think also for Naruto 125 because he says the bonus points were not credited.

          • @naruto128: No, on 20 Sept I shopped on 2 accounts for one I received 2 x 1200 points and the other 1 x 1200 points.

            • @Yola: Did you buy over 5 of the same product? The last time it did not work for me, I did for a special marked down frozen item. I am not sure if it is one of the factors yet, but it seems making sense. Usually, I have a successful rate of 90% of making it working.

              • +1

@Neoika: I have enjoyed 1200pt for $30 min glitch shop for 5 consecutive weeks.
Last Friday would have been my 6th week, but I noticed only one set of 1200pt was awarded. I guess I won't be bothering with this deal for a while.

Has FB / Coles finally caught on, and fixed the glitch?

Did you buy over 5 of the same product?

                Nope! Just everyday groceries.

I always activate the offers as soon as I receive the emails. Not sure if activating via the app vs email makes any difference.

                • @DoctorCalculon:

I guess I won't be bothering with this deal for a while.

Why not you can still get at least 20% off. Also on Friday 23.9 I did 3 of these offers and received double points on all.

Not sure if activating via the app vs email makes any difference.

I always activate from email and take a sc. Also have had over 90% success rate.

                  • @Yola:

Why not you can still get at least 20% off.

Maybe they have determined that I am now hooked. My theory is that glitch shopping will be back again after a break. Besides I have got to reduce my EDR balance to zero.

I always activate from email and take a sc.

Same practice. SC = Second Card ???
Do you alternate between different FB account each week for glitch shopping?

Also have had over 90% success rate

I guess we can't call FB about the second 1200 bonus points. :-P

                    • @DoctorCalculon:

Same practice. SC = Second Card ???

Screen capture. I attach a copy to the email if I do not receive points. And yes I do run several family accounts and as each of these offers is for $30 I usually do 2 or 3 per week.

Do you alternate between different FB accounts each week for glitch shopping?

Not alternate but use the ones that have the best offer/stacking and most points to use up. I find some accounts have the offer every week even when used recently and others alternate.

I guess we can't call FB about the second 1200 bonus points.

I have tried emailing about this. My argument was that on the app one says valid for 1 day and the other for 4 days. So looks like both are ok. Was rejected.

        • The double bonus points normally works for me. In fact my shopping on Fri 16th of Sept is the only time that I can recall where I've activated both offers hours beforehand but received no bonus points at all. Not sure why. I ended up calling Flybuys to get 1200 bonus points manually added. I did not bother trying to get both because (1) it's not meant to work that way and (2) I wouldn't want to alert them about the glitch and they patch it.

My shopping on Fri 23rd of Sept I got bonus points from both offers again so it still works.

          • +1

            @Alinnia:

I wouldn't want to alert them about the glitch and they patch it.

I am pretty sure FB / Coles are well aware of it, and the additional foot traffic this generates to their retail stores on Fridays and Tuesdays.
Otherwise, they would have patched it a long time ago.

My shopping on Fri 23rd of Sept I got bonus points from both offers again so it still works.

Good to know. Thank you. I shall try my luck again in the future.

  • got 9200pts on $230 spend

    • +1

      lol

    • These promos are 20% back as points
Over $250 it just stays at 10k points

    • Username doesn't check out.

  • I got spend $80 for 3200 points

  • +4

Don't scan your flybuys card unless you get an offer like this. It's not worth the trivial points when if they think you've stopped shopping with them, then they send you these offers.

I spend between $30 and $100 each time I get one of these offers. I seem to get them almost weekly, but only go to Coles probably once a fortnight.

    • Can we possibly apply to multiple flybuys card then?

      • +1

I think you know the answer to that😉

Spread use across multiple cards so you qualify for lower spend in offers!
        Just scan for bonus offers!
Multiple cards mean you have more & different offers to choose from.

On 3 cards for family, received this offer on 2. Other has just completed 4 x $50 spends for 10k points.
(Last free delivery was 23c short due to OOS & no substitute, so had to contact Flybuys - 10k added.)

@Woolies received $130 of points for total of $10 spent in 1 day!! Would have missed most of that with just 1 card.

        • Cooool. Will dig into it.

        • What deal/offer did you get at Woolies??

          • @Spending2Much: Deal was months ago. Targeted 1k - 5k points for spend of less than $1. All my accounts received offer. Bought items on separate EDR cards in 1 shopping trip. Easy 26k pts ($130)!

Had posted a better offer of 16k pts for 8 X 1c spends - but only received on 1 account.

            • @INFIDEL: Awesome

              I'm intrigued, what'd you buy for 1cent😂😂

I've had something like that before, but definitely not as good, it was simply, make any purchase, for points balance up to 2000. (I only had 50 ER points at the time, and got 1950 bonus.)

              • +2

@Spending2Much: 1c @Woolies?… Cheapest was a small piece of fruit or veg - about 30c. Min spend is usually higher now.
Yes those top up to 2k are nice.

Received 1230 pts in this offer on $25 spend, by including $25 frozen foods for $5 off Effectively $11 off $30. Nice when offers stack!
Bought another $25 frozen on another Flybuys account for $20.

While in Coles, received email offer of free small Japanese meal @Motto Motto in same centre. Free lunch!
Talking there about Japan with very friendly staff member Chisato, she gave me a voucher for a free soft serve (Matcha or Black Sesame). She asked me back for another chat & that free soft serve!

Ate it in the sun (28C) by the pond, having a interesting chat with Isaac & his daughter from the Congo. He sent a message to meet up same place next Saturday. Looking forward to another interesting chat - a different outlook on life.

Before Coles, picked up $220 RRP travel shorts & shirt for $20 @Kathmandu (on Clearance with free vouchers).

                Just another day😃

                • +1

                  @INFIDEL: Wonderful bargain hunting.

                  • @Yola: You might know the answer to this question. If you do your Coles FB glitch shopping on a Friday, and then activate the same offer on Tuesday will glitch shopping still work that day?

              • @Spending2Much: Bought more mandarins today (max 30c ea), each on a different Woolies EDR card in Topup to 2000pt for 9200pts ($46Cr)🎉

  • +1

I had a series of these, which I used, but this time it's 2 x $90 for 3000 points. Pass.

  • I got this offer 5 times during August. Each time valid for 4 days, from memory. Managed to qualify 4 of the 5 times by spending just over the $30 each time. Not hard for me to achieve, since I'm going past local Coles on a regular basis. For others who are further from the store, these offers may not be attractive.

  • +2

I got no offer at all.

ETA: Spoke too soon, they offer me 4000 points on a Disney+ sub. What an annoying offer when you already have Disney+.

  • I can't think of what to spend $30 on while still being able to carry it home on the bus in my pack.

    • $30 of groceries is lighter with inflation!!

Carried home (on 3 buses) a 5kg bag of rice (half price) & rest of $50 shop in daypack - no problem.
Coles delivery wasn't available as that Aussie Hinata "Japanese" rice wasn't available locally. Having it for lunch.

      • I went to grab 3 5kg bags of basmati rice half price for $9.50 each then buy a $3 tin of tuna to tip me over $30. Of course no rice left, bah! and 3 buses.. how painful!

        • 3 x 5kg bags of basmati
Cheaper than workout at a gym!
          But unavailable😥
          Rice & tuna… Nice combo.

Was at local Coles looking for Japanese style short grain rice. Half price (5kg $12) - much better value than $4.50 1kg pack. But only 3 bags on shelf.
While considering it, those last 3 sold out in a minute! Next stock was unsurprisingly in predominantly Asian neighbourhood - those 3 bus rides from home.

But rice is best as fresh as possible, so smaller purchases should taste better.
Have a rice farmer friend in village North of Kyoto - who would be appalled by our rice buying ways🍚

    • Boost mobile prepaid sim.

  • Will topping up an opal card get you these bonus points?

    • Yes, I've done it many times.

      • Which coles does opal tops up?

        • Broadway and World Square have it, as far as I know. Maybe more.

        • Broadway, World Square, Wynyard, Neutral Bay and more.

          To find one near you:

          1. Visit https://transportnsw.info/trip#/opal-retailers
          2. Search for your location (suburb, station, etc.)
          3. Zoom in on the map to reduce the number of retailers.
          4. Use the browser's Find function to look for Coles.
  • Don't use your flybuys card in a shopping centre that isn't your local.
I made that mistake (wasn't even Coles, I think it was KMart) and now I only get offers that are specific to that Coles.

    • Haha that's terrible, what an oversight on their behalf.

    • +2

I have received email offers for a specific store that I had never shopped at. However, looking at the same offer on the app there was no mention of the store. Shopped at my usual store and received the points.

      • Huh, thanks for that. Gotta admit I don't look at the app.

  • +1

    Shop $25 frozen +$5 for $5 off + $6 of points!

    TODAY ONLY:
Stacks with $5 off $25+ Frozen Product Spend with Flybuys and Barcode/Coupon @ Coles

  • +1

What has happened? Have not received any of these "Collect 1200 Flybuys Bonus Points When You Spend $30 or More" offers last Friday or today after getting them for months. Anyone else or just me? Please come back.

    • +1

The pattern is "it'll start from the 2nd week of the 4 consecutive weeks offer (for those having not shopped in the 1st week, not locked into 4 weeks commitment)".

I think the $30 target may be removed at any time as it seems to be a temporary relief for cost of living from June. It has been minimum $50 to play this game for years.

    • Yeah, the actual offers will stop, for 1200/$30 while this 10k/4x$50 offer is on….

….but, don't know what's happened with FlyBuys, last three $30/1200 offers, no bonus 1200 points received for the $30 spend.
Had to contact FlyBuys member help each time bonus points not included. Member help will, eventually, get back to you, just not in any rapid time…I think they'll, eventually, manually add the points, "Call Centre Adjustment"
I've had a lot of these call centre adjustment on my points.
Don't know if this a regular FlyBuys issue or a glitch, or they hope people won't be as particular in follow up as I am

      • How weird
Just got 3000 bonus points from plus $70 Liquorland spend, but didn't get the 88 points for the $88 spend.

      • Yes, I missed out on one - no bonus points at all and a couple of times only 1 x 1200. But on 23.9 received 2 x 1200 on 3 accounts.
