There is one in Vic, Bayswater for $299.
Those who bought these, would appreciate your feedback on the mower .

    • It's an excellent mower. Plenty of power and juice. My lawn is only 100sqm and only used like 7% battery (there's a display for charge indicator on the batteries)

My old (now sold) Ryobi 18v 33cm one always bogged down mowing anything but dry lawn, and it's catcher never fully fill up and often clippings got stuck in the port. This ferrex pro absolutely shoves all clippings into the catcher all the way till it gets properly full. I'm really happy.

Only slight drawback is the handle doesn't fully fold down or to allow stowage on a wall. So it's kinda taking space in my garage.

    • I opened mine today but too wet to mow. Thing is beefy. Feels a lot more solid than the plastic Ozito models. For $299 for the steel deck on special at Aldi (if you can find it), it's a no brainer with 2 x 8ah battery with 21700 cells.

  • Any other user reviews on this?
My ozito steel deck doesn't seem as powerful anymore wondering how this would stack up is $299 at my local

    • The Ferrex Pro Steel Deck for $400 last month sold out within a few weeks. You could get lucky with some stores still having left over stock shipped to them, only way to find stock is to drive around and look. Can't call the stores for stock check and can't use the model code on the website any more to check stock levels. With the 8.0ah battery, this won't need to be charged all the time especially for mowing on the spot. Also as it is double the battery capacity of Ozito steel deck, the battery lifespan will be extended as you won't have to charge to 100% all the time, charge to 80%, use 40% and still have 40% capacity left before charge, will keep the battery in the sweet spot of charge - discharge health. I will use mine first time tomorrow when the sun dries the grass a little bit and will update the post. I have a semi large 300 sqm yard to mow so will be a healthy test on battery usage.

      • Let me know how it goes I know of a store in Geelong with stock

  • Purchased one still 2 left in colac Store $299

  • clearing them at my local regional vic for $149.50

    • Is that a recent drop? Do you know if they were $299?

      • unsure if recent, just happen to pop in at the right time. It was $399 -> $299 -> $149.50

        • Thanks will leave mine unopened for now so I can return if I find a cheaper one in my travels.

        • Where's that in regional VIC? :O

    • They don’t have any stock in NSW stores at $299 unless going to regional NSW stores maybe. At $149, damn that would be a steal just for the 2 x 8Ah batteries and charger.

      • Wolli creek have 3-4 on display for $299

    • @rickyricardo6 Wow. Where is that mate?

Regarding the previous steel deck Aldi Mower from last month (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/725387) on sale for $399.00 and reduced to $299.00 in some Aldi's.
This morning Aldi Marrickville Metro had these on special for $199.00. Not sure if this price applies to other Aldi. stores.

    • Thanks for the find. I have it, it’s a beast.

    • Hi @gnic, do you still see any mower there recently? I'd love to get one of there is….

  • my local had 2 of these left have been keeping a eye out for price drop but both have sold this morning at $299 I'm guessing people went for the 8.0ah version over the 4.0ah version on sale this morning at $249

    • Yea this 8.0ah steel deck is a lot better than the plastic fantastic 4.0ah Aldi mower especially at the discounted $299 prices.

  • If anyone wants in VIC, there was still one left in Wyndham Vale yesterday. Ask staff as it was inside!
Excellent price. I also picked up the 5 in 1 garden kit.

  • Anyone in Sydney willing to sell the steel decked one in case you haven't opened it yet? Willing to pay more than the clearance price

  • Drive around your local area, I am sure some stores might still have run out stock. Check and report back, you might get lucky like I did last week.

  • Anyone know of stock around Perth?
