the intel laptop for 1020 was better if you wanted that metal premium feel, it was also i7 16gb ran and 512 gb ssd, and better screen. same size screen

Yep. The only way to get more performance is to swap the ssd with something ridiculously quick, so that once your system runs out of RAM, it doesn't slow down to an absolute crawl, since you'll have fast swap storage. Can't find much on this version in partcular, which is the 2021 model according to the SKU. BoD-WDH9 and the Web.
According to online reviews, there were mininal changes in the specs of the 2020 and 2021 versions, including the chassis; these videos, 1, 2, unfortunately indicate that only the SSD is upgradeable as the RAM is soldered on.
