I bought 65" for my one-bedroom apartment and regretted not getting 75" or bigger. go for 75" or bigger.

      • Bought a 65" for my loungeroom, regretted not getting 75". Ah well.

    • The 65 deal has happened a few weeks back now , jb sold out

Myer had this for $1649. Out of stock currently. https://www.myer.com.au/p/lg-ultra-hd-led-thinq-ai-tv-75-190…

Great price! But yes no stock…

    • Clearance. It will never be back in stock.

    • You can definitely use that as a yard stick for negotiations on price with JB-HiFi. Back in 2019 I negotiated a good price on previous gen TV using pricing history from OzBargain.

        I tried, didn't work lol.

  • RTINGS reviewed the 55inch version from 2021, mixed review, 55 inch has very poor local dimming . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xrvkP27C1g

    • Yep I have this model and that's correct…

      • I agree, local dimming is not the best. Beautiful picture, but local dimming needs work

Yeh doesn't help that my other TV is an OLED sooo it's very noticeable.. Loll also blooming is another very noticeable thing…

    • Heard the TGG sales guy kept telling his customer, the LG IPS panel is great, Samsung use cheap panel 🙄

      • +2

My personal opinion is do your own research, sale guys, trying to sell, sell, sell (can't blame them, its their job), but I feel to get the best value for money, its your responsibility to do research ( not just one YouTube video) and not depend on what the sales guy recommends.

    LG OLED = King
    LG non-OLED = Meh

I think I will prefer Samsung for cheaper non OLED option.

    I wish there was a deal for a $3000-$4000 decent 85" :(

    • I am on the hunt for a decent 85” too :(

        • haha yeah just a bit, need to keep it under 4k for wife approval.
I can get the Samsung Q70B QLED 85" from the Samsung EPP store for $3444 but its like an online only model with no reviews or details!

          • @basicerno: I think Q70B is like the old Q70A shouldn't be too bad for the price, also last time I did talk with Sony store and they can offer like $4,300 for the Sony X95J because it is a running out model.

            • @superforever: Which Sony store was this? I don’t believe they have any stock online.

              • @raghuchary: Castle Tower but that was a few weeks ago, they still have 85" not 75"

I asked them if they have stock and match JB $2,888 for 75"

Any thoughts on why this is better than the nano75 2022 model for $7 more?

Don’t look at one of these after seeing OLED, blooming is awful

    Just bought one, thanks OP.

Tried to buy online using those Ultimate Gift Cards and worked out you can't use more than one at checkout lol..

Wife drove to JB and paid for it there, comes tomorrow too!

    Woohoo

Congrats! Glad to give back to the OzB community.

P.S. mine is getting delivered tomorrow. Expecting it to be a lot better than my TCL 75" QLED which developed serious issues within hours of delivery and ended up refunded.

      • Very exciting, we've been putting off buying a new TV for sometime now, but seems like the stars have aligned!

We are replacing a 50" Sony LED Circa 2015 or so. Barely loads up Netflix or YouTube without it crashing or displaying "Out of Memory" after an hour or so of playback.

Also not good when you have a toddler having a meltdown and you want Cocomelon or some kids TV show on ASAP. Current TV takes a good couple of minutes to load things lol.

Just buy fire TV stick or Google Chromecast TV

        • So how did you find the TV? I'm pretty happy with mine so far. Great picture! Local dimming issue only noticeable in some scenes but doesn't bother me. Compared with local dimming off it is a vast improvement.

Will try plugging in a gaming laptop next. I have high expectations due to the VRR.

          • @sm3llycat: So far it's pretty good in comparison to our old Sony 50" LED (circa 2015).

Colours are much more vibrate, blacks are blacker (much more even distribution too). We generally never watch TV with all the lights off, there's at least a floor lamp that's always on.

The remote, webOS is a dream to use compared to the native Sony OS back then (good they decided to go with an Android based OS as of late).

I did notice out of the box the audio/video sync is a bit off. Playing about with the settings on 8 seems to have nearly synced the video/audio however it does vary with apps too. Amazon Prime seems to be the laggy one, but not a big deal (only bothers me).

All this sync business goes out the door once I run it to my HT (just pending a new amp, gave my old one away to my mate).

  • How does this Nano91 compare to the LG C2 OLED ?

Looking at rtings review the Nano90 did not look good
    https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-nano90-2021-vs-lg…

    • LG C2 OLED ?

Think about how much is C2 OLED

  • If you watch anything with dark scenes the bloom and full array local dimming will drive you INSANE. DONT DO IT unless you just want a big picture and don't care about picture quality at all or only ever watch well lit scenes.

    • with dark scenes the bloom and full array local dimming will drive you INSANE

Same thing people said about the X90J, wondering if only happened to some people.

    • No such issue with my set.

      • No such issue with my set.

Not because of the set, is because of people some more sensitive.

        • Well then you should of put "drives me insane" if it's subjective ? Do you have the tv in question, because I don't get any real blooming.

  • For some reason the extra 15% off offer with soundbar didn't work with this model.
