    • So tempted!

worth. i got my 65 inch for 3k flat a hn over a month ago, but this is a good price.

    • +1

I am super tempted, but shouldn’t. I might wait a little longer now. The C2 only came out a few months ago.
My 2016 Sony OLED is being sporadic as hell with its “smart tv” component. Plus I want a bigger tv.

      • +5

Your decision will be easier if you accidentally dropped the Sony. Twice.

    • +1

Second this. I've had my CX for 2 years. It's amazing. Lots of complients on it.

  • Is HAPPY10 only for OLED? Didn't work for Sony.

  • Is the concierge service worth it? Tempted to get the 5 year cover on a 42 inch as a computer monitor. Would it cover burn-in?

    • +2

      Doesn't seem like it.

Damn, that's really my only concern using it as a monitor long-term.

    • +4

Yeah nah not worth it imo. I bought the C1 last year for 2700 and paid an extra 300 for the concierge. Could've put the money towards some tv accessory instead.

      • That's a good idea, save myself a couple hundred.

    • My LG oled developed a single column of dead pixels after less than 3 years. Wasnt a rare occurence based on some research, so could be worthwhile for that protection. Could have had a crack under consumer law protections but being time poor makes that difficult to follow.

LG replaces almost every panel for burn in here in Australia, even ones at 5-6 years old

FYI - 5% cashback via ShopBack from 6pm onwards :)

    • I've never used a cashback service before - reading it now it says 'ShopBack Cashback prompts are not able to be activated at this store. Cashback will still be tracked if you've clicked through via ShopBack'. I've closed all other tabs on my browser, deleted cash rewards completely and re-opened through ShopBack… should I have any issues claiming this now?

      • +1

It’s best if you use their app for better tracking I reckon

        • Ok, cheers

    • purchasing item with a gift card as a payment method will void cashback?

      • We've got up until 1 Oct, same with CR too

        • any cap amount on the upsized 5% cashback?

        • @bargainsgrabber what happens from 1st Oct?

          • +1

@dtox: I think it was stated in HamBoi's post saying that if you use gift cards as the payment method, the regular cashback from The Good Guys will be invalidated

  • this or the SONY A90J OLED?

    • +4

If you're a gamer, I believe these models might be better.

  • No deal on 75?

    • No stock or no item listed from what i can see.
Go for 83", that one is available.

JB has 15% off if you add a soundbar of the same brand so you could pick up the C2 77" plus the cheapest soundbar for a total of $6,242.40

JB has 15% off if you add a soundbar

        I think start on 21st or 22nd.

  • grabbed one. thanks for the OP!

  • I presume this is the door buster sale that officially starts at 6pm so should apply to pretty much everything.

  • +1

So tempted on the 42 as a monitor….

    • Sounds large.

    • +3

Check out the new video that linustechtips put out about this.

He ended up going for an asus 4k 42inch monitor instead.

Now granted the video is sponsored by asus, but I think the points are valid.

Can I apply for tax deduction if I use the TV as a monitor for WFH?

    • +2

      I did (last financial year)

    • +1

Depends on the type of work

  • Still waiting to see if it 55inch can reach the lowest price in July

  • 55 or 65 hmm

    • +1

      65 fo sure

  • Does purchasing using gift cards work for ShopBack? Couldn't see any exclusions

    • +1

No, it has a list of exclusions on the left hand side and gift cards is one of them.

      • That's for purchases of gift cards. not redeeming them

  • Yasss. Can’t wait for the 42” when it’s 1300 by Christmas for my next desk monitor.

  • Don’t forget to sign up for the Storecash before buying and get $70

  • Yesterday was 6% Cashrewards, today is 2%

The comparisons on these TVs to Samsung's QN range show that these TVs aren't great….

    • Link?

    • +1

Do you mean the QD-OLED rather than QN? if you watch at night or with blinds down this is still better than QN, the QN series is best for bright rooms

  • +5

For those looking for the 65" and above, could be better buying from JB as they currently have 15% off with any LG soundbar purchase.

    E.G OLED 65C2 + LG SN5Y 400W and coupon 92JBGET30 = $3322

    • Is this in store only?

      • +1

Works online all good too, just need to add them to cart together and it'll apply.

Works for any TV > 55", just need to have the same brand soundbar in cart with it.

        • -1

Is anyone interested in buying an LG soundbar from me at full JB price?

        • For some reason it says that soundbar cant be shipped - so it may be in store only?

  • +1

    Would JB beat this price?

  • I heard from someone staff price on this is around $1400, so its a really good deal. I will only bite if this thing falls to $1500

  • No love for 77"?

  • +1

Got my 65" C2 for $2900 delivered from JB a few months back. Incredible TV. 10/10 would recommend.

Everytime I watch a QLED now it just seems… So… Lacklustre.
