      Many people who work in health sector still require it.

      In addition I think people who are sick with flu/ Covid like symptoms should wear it as a courtesy if they want to go out and about and not pass it onto other people but that won't happen.

        Never was and still no conclusive science to support their effectiveness. It's covid theatre and fear mongering.
        The mask requirements will be dropped in all sectors soon enough and respiratory illness will still be present and unaffected, just as respiratory illness was not changed when they were required.

          The effectiveness is obvious, I have been wearing n95 masks for last a few months, all the people around me at work have got covid at least once, I still haven't got it so far.

                  @sammyla: No, medical staff wear masks to prevent bacteria in their droplets infecting patients especially in surgery. Face shields are for protecting from fluids.

                  They switched to N95 as standard wear in hospitals to protect themselves during omicron wave though.
                  And you are drinking micro plastics in water and beer anyway.

              I also expected those in charge to provide people with helpful advice like, get exercise and keep yourself healthy, tell people obesity and low vitamin D appeared to be factors in those hospitalized, in icu or dead.. bit nope.

              I expected health authority yo advise people that sinus washes can reduce your chances of getting sick or the duration / severity but nope.

              I expected natural immunity would be considered a factor to not need a jab as it offered better protection.. nope

              I expected not to see play grounds shut down without the science to back it up.

              I expected so so so much more from a system that appears to follow the science but im reality its a clap back cult who point fingers and break out the Pitchforks amd torches at anyone who dares questions them or their unreasonable asinine decrees.

    Having said that I haven't worn one of these blue paper masks for over a year. Don't see the point, if you're going to wear something at least make sure it's adequate protection (giggity).

        For a cold or rhinitis just wear a mask. I wouldn't expect people to miss out on learning or their only opportunity to make money because of the sniffles.

        Fulltime Desk/office salaried employees often don't understand if others don't show up to their job they won't get paid and may even affect their shifts (hence money) permanently.

        Well I know the bulk of Samsungs come from Vietnam and India (with smaller factories in Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Brazil). Samsung stopped manufacturing in China a while ago and lost basically all their market share there.

        There's probably others but this reason (Chinese buy Chinese made phones and it's a huge market) is one reason why companies choose to stay.
