Imou Ranger 2C 4MP QHD WiFi PTZ Indoor Security Camera $39.19 ($38.21 with eBay Plus) Delivered @ imou_official_au eBay

On sale is this indoor WiFi security camera from Imou (Dahua's consumer brand) that was posted previously by the rep, but was removed by OzBargain due to an account issue. I use the similar Ranger 2 4MP myself and it's a solid performer with good quality footage and motion tracking.

Featuring a 4MP sensor with 2560x1440 resolution, night version with IR, pan/tilt, motion/human tracking, two-way audio, 16x digital zoom, microSD slot for local storage, RTSP/ONVIF support, micro USB power (5V/1A) and WiFi connectivity.

There's an Imou app for your phone/PC to control the cameras, view footage etc. and it works with NVRs like Dahua via SmartPSS, Blue Iris etc.

  • I still gotta laugh that one time their eBay team cc (instead of bcc) a whole bunch of user emails (had some ozbargainers too) when they tried to do an email promo.

I will say their cameras have been decent though, and Iā€™m bummed there has been no Imou LOOC restock in months.

People got so upset about it too. Nothing in comparison to the stunt pulled by Optus…

I thought LOOC was discontinued and just checked that it isn't. Seems they're about $45 a piece. Hopefully BPC or PC Byte can discount them further.

the 50% off coupon that IMOU ebay offered to those affected is more than what we'll see optus offering I bet! HAHA

And yeah :( I paid closer to about $33 ea for 2 x LOOC from them (used ebay best offer function, then it let me stack on a 20% voucher)

  • Haven't done much research on the market - How do these stack up to Reolink and other offerings?

Appreciate if someone with expertise/experience could chime in, thanks

This is indoor. I've done a fair amount of research and these are a good buy for piece of mind when you're not home. I'd also get some outdoor cams though to ward off people with an alarm and keep track of neighbourhood cats. If you want continuous recording, check out wyze.

      • Does it require a 'homebase' like eufy cameras? And is the cloud storage subscription decently priced compared to other brands?

        • No. No idea about pricing. It might change often between brands so best to check. Good thing is that you can record to memory card

isn't this their exact same camera but for even less @ $38.21 with code?

    • I paid that 2 days ago for the same reason. Not sure why the more expensive listing is being posted. Did I get some inferior model?

      • Nah it's the same. I didn't see that one šŸ˜…

Paid $33.49 in August for this.

Really happy with it, no complaints about the imou app.
We mainly use it to keep an eye on the dog indoors.

    • Wow. Did you buy it from Ebay?

    • what deal was that?

      got the link?

      • Same seller, same listing.

Was listed as $41.99 back then, looks like they have increased it to $47.99 this time around.

  • is it better to go for a 4k camera for front yard view?
and what camera is good value for money?

  • seems like they have increased the price again.
