    • Never used support , only need internet which never drops below my 50/20 contract. Not sure what other services are needed. Super cheap and great for 90% of the country. I'm on fttn

  • +2

Switched to More Internet from iinet. Speed and everything works fine.

  • -1

Their support, services and communication (between themselves, NBN and customer) are so hopeless. Booked me for an appointment to set up connection, which made me drive for 6 hours (return trip) to attend and no show. Called them up twice while waiting. First support said, keep waiting, they will show up. Then last support said, it's all ready to go, no need for appointment. Then next day, another support said, appointment is needed still. Having said that, once it's set up, it's fine, but the experience is horrible.

    • to attend and no show.

      That would be NBNCo…

      • Yes I understand NBNCo is involved. But they aren't able to know if the house needs technician to set up or not. Having different answers between different support agents. Unable to be the bridge of communication.

Simply telling my experience for people to see that's all. Why the neg?!

    • I think reps are lurking here negging you for sharing your experience

  • Anyone know whether you can sign up and set an activation date?

    • +2

Yeah you can, leave it blank for connect asap

    • 100%, I did it. And also told previous ISP Belong when I wanted it cancelled in the future.

  • Not sure why so many negative comments, but I'm doing pretty well for the price I'm paying vs what I'm getting.

    On the 100/40, paying $76.30 p/mth.

    inb4liar - 7 day hourly speed testing

As for support, well.. that's a different story. I've sent in a couple emails/WhatsApp/tickets asking to get upgraded to 250/20, still not a single response. I'm not even sure at this point that they've even received my request lol

    • +1

yeah i went from TPG to More recently and im only annoyed i didnt do it sooner, savings are quite significant. Internet connectivity the same.

    • I've sent in a couple emails/WhatsApp/tickets

      Just call them…

With tickets, I always get a response within 24 hrs.

  • +1

Honestly if you have a good NBN connection (like FTTB, FTTP etc) you will have good speed with More.

My building has FTTP and I got 256/20 on the 250/25 during peak hours.

  • I just signed up with these guys for a new place - CBA offers free 3 years of NBN up to $77 per month if you buy with them before next month or something.
property was on FTTC - but got a free upgrade to FTTP - some places you have to pay $200 or sign that you will pay that if you downgrade
speed and reliability remains to be seen but what can I lose? its free - maybe I will strike it lucky and have no issues and 250/40 speeds?

    • @botchie - How did you get the $77 per month subsidy?

  • I have used ABB, Superloop, More, Barefoot and found that for traffic within AU, all first 3 are doing fine expect More sometimes is about 80-90% at peak hours, but Barefoot is really bad. For oversea traffics, in my case mainly going to China, first 2 are the best, the rest were significantly worse.

    • Can you compare More with Optus?

      • More hopefully treats your personal data better than Optus..

      • +4

this More is less hacked, optus is More hackers

    • IME similar experience with some cheaper providers. Domestic is fine, they adhere to the rules for stated speed during peak times and you'll always test at your speed or higher, but international is where they are trying to save money with contention and it can be pretty awful. You may not even know its awful with your usage because of local interchanges/servers/cache/whatever, but I was for example trying to download from binary news which was terrible a lot of the time. It was sometimes far better if I used a locally terminated VPN instead of going direct, tells you a lot.. I gave up and went with ABB (250mbps).

  • Have signed up for more bank accounts in the past month than I had in total over the past 30 years…..Ubank, ING, Macquarie, Virgin.

Looks like I'll be signing up for another one now to get this $83 deal.

  • any review for people with FTTN ? especially south sydney.

and we can just join simple basic saving account with commbank and will be eligible ?

    • you need CBA credit card

      • +3

it can be either credit or debit card.

        • it can be either credit or debit card.

          Correct!!

  • Can 1 card pay for 2 accounts?

    • Hmm that’s a hardquiz. I guess you should as there’re people owing multiple properties :P

  • +1

Moved to More from Aussie boardband. Got a lot of drop outs, and then I have to reconnect to VPN.
Moved to Super loop. No drop outs.

    PPPoE problem?

    • Modem problem?

    • i think it sounds like more problems

    • I'm basically in the same situation. Was with Aussie but my 6 month promo ran out so I tried More. Lots of drop outs which was really frustrating. Also moving to Superloop soon. Hope it's reliable.

    • -1

      it is NOT a problem.
      cheaper = less
      it is NORMAL

      • except that in this case it shouldn't be as internet provider is NBN co - sure they buy bandwidth but drop outs is what NBN was supposed to fix if I am not mistaken

    • I just published my experince just before i see this.I am dealing with more problems at the moment after about 4 moths great ride.I have a feeling at the leverage with NBN might not be more with more.I am not sure how that is with the other ISPs. litteraly they have been resusing to escallate my issue to NBN.

  • 250/25 FTTP on More no issues at all. PPPoE is an annoyance especially as it adds another layer of failure due to crappy modem etc. YMMV if you’re a second class nbn citizen on fttn. Support is quick to respond/call back if you open a ticket through portal. Other ISPs have a better experience for customer service/self help portals but it’s by no means BAD. Worth it for $83/m for 24m (previous deal was two years)

    • im signing up with them on FTTC but its being upgrades to FTTP - with a BYO modem - Asus ax5400 - does it need any special configuration ? I read a few posts online that it can be tricky getting connection with them due to a different protocol but once set up should be fine?

      • +2

just gotta login to your modem and put user/pass they give you for PPPoE. Every modem/router should do PPPoE. I used a Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 for a bit before I setup my pfsense router.

  • Moved from Aussie 25mbps to this company on 25mbps and find that streaming services take longer to load, in some cases I have to force stop them to get them to load.
Also get some weird packet loss playing video games.

  • I signed up with More in June of this year on the 250/25 HFC plan. Download speeds were okay, I usually averaged in the high 100s. I would caution if you want to join, as I had frequent connection drops and webpages wouldn't load sometimes. This usually required a refresh to try get the page to load again. I didn't have these issues with Aussie Broadband but I'll be moving to Superloop soon to try them out.

  • +1

Moved from Superloop to More a couple months back…..recently have been facing an increasing number of dropouts during peak period. Asked More support and they said it should be fixed cause NBN updated with a new stability profile which tbh, was good for the first night then it went back to poop again.

I've considered whether if it's a problem with my wifi router but it shouldn't be as the issue always happens during peak hours in the evening.

    • +1

I have been in the same and done fair bit of testing and posted some of my experince here.

  • +1

have been with more for last month with cba discount…service has been pretty patchy.. 30% off time speed is below 20MB at nights and I am on 50/20 plan

  • I already used up my 12 month 30% discount offer and now getting 10%. Does anyone know if I port out of More for 1 month and subscribe to More again, will I be termed as a New Customer and again get 30% discount for next 12 months?

    • +1

      FYI

Point 1: This offer is a once off annual discount to be applied on a monthly basis over a period of 12
      months.

There is no mention about needing to be a new customers in the terms. I would give them a call and please share your findings.

    • Is it possible?

  • +3

I would suggest that when everyone posts about speeds or ISP providers, one should also provide your state and location like West Melbourne or south Sydney along with FTTP/ FTTN /HFC…
it would be easier for everyone to identify and understand which broadband service is better on those locations.
Not every provider is best in all locations.

    • i'm with More using HFC outer west Melb. I'm very tempted to go back to my previous ISPs as they didn't have these issues but More had acknowledged the issue on my call to them last week and said NBN updated the connection with a 'stability patch'.

worked great the first night then back to the gutters during peak hours

  • On their 250/25.
Avg on about 89/22… Sometimes it goes to 240/22. They don't know what's wrong and blamed the modem

    • +4

FYI comment from last deal that exp now.

      whatboutbob on 27/02/2022 - 07:41
After about 24 hours of speed test results jumping around between 16 and 120mbps the NBN technician came out and after I told him the sequence if events he asked which RSP I used. When I told him "More" he groaned and replied "That'll be your problem. Complain enough and they'll bump you onto a faster server. They often start folks out on a granny server for people who don't run speed tests."

He spent about an hour running various tests finding nothing wrong with the cable. He eventually swapped out the NBN connection box as a last resort. That made no difference to speed test results. His final words were "there's no reason you shouldn't be able to get up to gigabit speeds on this connection, but obviously you're not. Take it up with your RSP."

About 3 hours later, with no further action being taken from my end, the connection came good and has been reliably testing at 250/25.

About an hour later a more rep called noting that the NBN tech had visited and asked if everything was ok.

Take from that what you will. Has only been a few days now but connection has been rock solid.

      • +1

Thanks so much for this. Will try

        • 👍👍

      • That defiantly sounds like congestion if it's jumping speeds like that

  • +1

Anyone churn from TPG to MORE and using TPG supplied TPLink Archer 1600v1 modem/router? I'm on 100/20 but only getting 60-70 downloads. When I connect directly to FTTP NBN NTU, I get 107mbps. Is this a modem issue? Anyone else experiencing the same?

    • I'm keen to know this as well because I'm in the same boat.

      • TPG modem definitely throttled my speed to 60-70mbps. Swapped it out with a mate's Aussie Broadband Netcomm router and got the full 104mbps. Do not use TPG modem if you want the full 100.

    • This is to do with maybe what channel and the width it's on. Maybe also are you getting full strength WiFi signal

  • +1

Switched from Voda to More last month, speed test shows ok, but I noticed sometimes YouTube take 3-5 sec to load videos

    • Same. Happens to all streaming services

  • Don’t have commonwealth bank…

Sounds maybe a little convoluted- but could I sign up using my relatives commbank card, and then change the payment method to my own card and keep the 30% off?

    • Good idea but sadly not according to TnC's

Point 10. If your CommBank card expires, you change your preferred payment method to a non-CommBank credit or debit card or you cease to have an account with CommBank all discounts available with this offer will be forfeited and your plan fee will return to the RRP monthly price.

      • Does the CBA card need to be in your name?

Don't bank with CBA but partner does.

        • Should be ok because it doesnt mention anything about that.

Probably worth asking them before you sign up however.

    • No, it has to be paid with a commbank card to continue receiving the 30% off discount

      • Thought this would be the case. Bugger.

My internet basically drops out during peak times.. I have to use mobile data at 7pm.

    Wouldn't recommend, I'll changing soon

    • Can you provide us with some more info?

      • connection type
      • connection speed
      • wifi or cable
      • has it happened with other providers
      • has it tried to be resolved
    • I have publish similar experince in the thread. I am with more on HFC , At this stage it would be among speed related as i upgraded from HFC comfortable 100Mb to 250Mb(which was recently become available to me) or something along the Layer 2 connectivity(physical). Authentication(PPOE) or More provider issue(Internet carriage). I am expected to change and downgrade.

  • +1

Every afternoon I can not load a page to save my life!
Wouldn't recommend, I'll changing soon back to optus.

    Not worth the discount

  • Just swapped from Aussie who I have been always happy with, but $83 for 250/25 I couldn't put it off any longer. I always hesitated because of the quality of Aussies Australian support team. Clueless Indian call centers were the reason I dumped Optus a few years ago. Fingers crossed.

  • Moved from exetel to more hassle free. Then was offered a free upgrade from fttn to fttp, again absolutely hassle free with more. Speed ls are the same as previous too.

  • We are HFC. Received the email "Your NBN service has been ordered" around 20:30, then no internet. Anyone know if I this is normal situation. I thought I can still use my previous provider.

    • Buy the way, I can't access their website by mobile data

      • +1

Am going to take a guess here.
If like Tangerine, they take control of your NBN and only then start the provisioning of your account. A few hours go by and if lucky you receive your credentials assuming they are PPoE. Once received you can only then set up your router.
The main issue is them taking control BEFORE giving you your detains in advance. In turn expect a good 4 to 8 hours offline if lucky?

        • +1

Add to this. If you have an eero router then you are stuffed :-) because you have to update the PPOE creds before you loose connection to the internet :-)

          • @JAP01: Lol, the Same goes with Google Nest Mesh routers

            • @cheersvb: Edit: Apparently, You can change to PPOE even after disconnection, as you need to fire up the main router without the NBN connection and then connect your mobile to the wifi, other option is to reset the router and set the same wifi name / password, you will have an option to change the connection to PPOE

    • I’m in the same boat. Did yours fix itself? I have a BYO deco modem.

  • +1

Currently using TPG 50/20, is it worth to switch to MORE? any speed or servicedifference between this 2 company ?

  • +1

I have been with more for about 4 months now. it was great till an issue started. I have HFC and every couple of hours I get serious drop outs. We have 4g on work devices hence wasnt a major issue but it becoming extreeme now. Initial respose from more, We are sure it is your router problem, I needed a wifi 6 router so change that anyway.Didnt resolve,Went back to more, Oh we think it is your wifi, then spent time installing a ping monitor on a spare laptop directly connected it and sent them logs to prove that it is not wifi. then they go,We dont see any restarts on your NBN modem and they go , ok We'll pass this on to our level 2 team and they come back and say can you connect your monitoring laptop directly to your modem and that should give us tell us it is your router or NBN and then we can go to NBN. then I go what about PPOE?now I gotta setup PPoE on the laptop and monitor my internet to provide evidance to more so they can escallate it to NBN. appearently NBN doesnt accept requests from them if the number of drops outs are under 5 per day according to them(may be same with other ISPs). But letting you know .it may be just my connection..

    • sucks that NBN has that rigid 5 drop outs a day rule. I'm on HFC at outer west Melbourne and they had to come by and replace the line that connects from the pole outside my house once which did fix the problem but now….there's these constant crappy dropouts.

  • Their speed is very unstable.
It can be as fast as 260mbps some hours, but ~120mbps during peak hours.
    I’m on the 250/20 plan

    • thats not that bad as long as their ping it ok and there are no dropouts

  • Signed up to switch from Superloop last night with preferred date of activation for 3 October.
Hopefully all goes well with the switch and the upgrade from FTTN to FTTP.

    • I did that exact same, from 50/20 fttn to fttp 100/20, tech was nice and connected straight away, all for free, I have called support and got through straight away, have experienced dropout but not enough to complain about “Yet” and so cheap, less than 50/20 with Abb

      • So have you had your connection at home upgraded already to FTTP? Did your connection activate initially under FTTN while you waited for the FTTP upgrade to happen? I just got an email confirming they ordered the FTTP upgrade. I am feeling a bit uneasy about them potentially not activating my NBN until the FTTP upgrade is complete. I asked for activation on 3rd of October and obviously FTTP upgrade won't be complete by then.

  • After some advice. Switched this morning to More from belong. HFC. I have a Deco X73. Now my internet is not working at all despite emails from more saying switch completed. What else do I need to do?

    • +1

My guess (also noted a few comments above), is that the switch has completed between Belong and More.
This however doesn't mean your account has been provisioned by More yet i.e. they have to now create your user credentials etc. and send to you. Call them and ask. Post back here with what end result was as no doubt others will find useful.

      • +1

Thanks mate- I tried a hard reset of my router and set it up from the start. Seems to have connected. Maybe there was old settings in there or something from belong.

        • Good to hear it was a local issue. Are they PPoE and requie Username and P/W?

  • +1

For what it's worth 10 000 points is worth about $48.

    • Thank you for this 😎

  • Looks like I misunderstood how the upgrade from FTTN to FTTP works when you transfer over from a different provider to More.
I was assuming More will activate my service initially under FTTN and switch me over to FTTP once the upgrade work is completed in 1-3 weeks time, but I just found out my service won't actually activate at all until the FTTP upgrade is complete, which means I could be without internet for 2-3 weeks depending on how quickly NBN is able to complete the upgrade work. I deliberately delayed switching until I was closer to the end of billing period with my current provider and it's totally backfired on me. Not sure what to do now.
If I stay with superloop for another month, I have to pay their normal price for a full month and won't get any of it back if I switch to More early.

  • I'm with Aussie Broadband at the moment. Would it be hard to configure their modem to work with this provider?
After I spend $299 on their modem, kind of kills the savings of moving over.

    • It would help of you noted the brand and model no. I would expect it would be simple enough though.

      • Netcomm Wireless
Just the standard modem provided by ABB

        • +1

You haven't noted the Model No. I'll assume it is the NF20 mesh which is fine. It supports connection types of PPPoE/PPPoA/Dynamic IP & Static. MORE use PPoE. You will however have to reconfigure the connection type to PPoE when the time comes. It's not hard and where needed More support could talk you through it.

  • +1

Joined with them on Monday 26/09 and experienced what other users have mentioned about inconsistent speeds and drop outs. Currently trying to switch back to AussieBB who were smooth as just 2 days later. I was on the 250/25 and in Sydney NSW.
