I ordered one from here yesterday but still no email to confirm.

The GPU has also disappeared from the GPU list page so I suspect they got a lot of enquiries overnight but haven't had time to process them.

This showed up on staticice yesterday sometime!

    • I've gotten an email to confirm they also called me

      • Did you order today?

        • no yesterday, if you want I can send you exactly what they wrote

          • @Al Mawsil: Just curious how long it took to come through! They said it could take 24 hours.

            • @OpenHand: cool hope they reach to you soon

@Al Mawsil: Just got my email, out of stock.

I suspect any orders placed after whatever time yesterday will get nuked!

                • @OpenHand: Afraid I called them yesterday and am picking it up in the morning… locked in for cash.
I've got a 2080S I hardly used to sell now if you're interested..

Just keep waiting. If you've waited this long, you can probably wait even more!

The 3090 is simply not as good as the 4080 - even though that has poor performance per dollar value.

    • I assume you're comparing to the 4080 16gb hey

    Does this support CCP tho??

Keep telling people prices will drop they keep saying they won't then they keep going down

Nvidia pushed its customers over the edge now people aren't just carelessly buying

Keep HODL prices will drop further when this is $1000 might have a okay deal i wouldn't personally buy it now because screw nvidia

    • +2

Yep, I'm waiting for the magical $1000 mark.

  • +3

    HODL until it's under $1k

  • +2

A 3080 around the $800 mark would make me upgrade from the $630 3060Ti I got from an ebay sale.

OOS, just spoke on the phone

I think I am just going to wait for the 2nd hand 3090/ti market to collapse. I am happy buying an ex mining card.

    • +2

Personally I would not touch 30 series with GDDR6X. ETH mining is pushing the memory so hard at least 80-95 degreees or even 100 degrees for 1-2 years. The long term high temperature would significantly affect the longevity of the memory on ex mining cards.

Miners are finally starting to dump RTX 30x0 series. Lowest "Buy It Now" on ebay is going down about $30 a day, on average.

There are enough 3070s for $600 and 3080s for $850 today that they won't all sell and will have to be relisted at cheaper prices.

We'll see how it looks in a couple of weeks.

      • -1

Miners on ebay probably aren't going to go very low with their prices. Ebay is a ripoff with their 13% take of the sale price so it'll just become too much of a loose to the sellers.

        • +1

That's not how supply and demand works.

As with any product (including GPUs last time miners dumped tons of them) when there are more GPUs than buyers, sellers have to reduce prices to get rid of them.

If the over-supply persists, price spirals downward as sellers realise they have to discount deeper or risk not selling until prices are even lower.

Once it's clear how fast prices are falling, everyone would rather list their ten RTX 3080s at $840 each today, rather than the current price of $850, if that's the only way of selling them before prices hit $700 or $600.

          • @GandalfTheCheap: Miners on ebay probably aren't going to go very low with their prices. My point was you're not going to find the cheap cards on ebay.

becareful looking at mined 3090s, they have Vram on the back that's just cooled using the back plate. good chance that Vrams been running hot for a long time.

  • I wouldn't buy directly from them personally, good price tho, i'm just holding up for another vendor

  • +2

    don't HODL they said…

    • +4

Imagine paying double the price + more and seeing this lmao …..

in before "BuT i GoT sO MuCh UsAgE oUt oF iT" and "i mInEd tHe cOsT bAcK"

      • if you mined the cost back your card is $1400 cheaper than this so you’d still be laughing

        • +1

Reality is they didn't mine the cost back lol

  • +2

Give in right now would make all this years’s holding in vain

    • +3

Sounds like me trying to hold in my number 2 in the office

      • Boss gets a dollar, I get a dime. That's why it pays to sh!t on company time…

  • I’m surprised there aren't more HODL comments….
