      These kind of PCs generally have a key that's locked to that PC and they cost basically nothing for oems.

      Is there any chance this might be answered?
      DDR4 is more commonly larger sizes than DDR3 ex-lease gear but this is of interest to know.
      Maybe it can't be answered if its pot luck.
      It'd be nice to know the actual ram spec's as well.

    Microsoft doesn't officially support Windows 11 on 7th gen. Has this install been forced? Are there any 8th Gen available?

        Physically the base unit is the same besides the CPU. HP keep the same desktop design for a generation or two.

            HP EliteDesk 800 series are solid desktops. The G3 and G4 are physically identical except for the CPU. Obviously you have a couple of dozen configurations but they both follow the same design and they're very reliable. I've deployed thousands across the country.

    For anyone wondering about Plex I've been running the prior model, a HP EliteDesk 800 G2 with i7-6700T CPU and 8gb RAM, with Ubuntu and Plex for a few years now. Plex easily converts two or three 1080 streams and easily direct plays 4k titles. Any questions, hit me up.
