Trying to take advantage of Deliveroo Plus lately, I'm reminded why I stopped using them in the first place: awful service.
Tried to order from 2 different Grill'd stores on different days while there was a 20% off promo. Both stores cancelled without explanation after nearly 30 minutes.
Yesterday, I order from a Mexican place near me, only for them to forget the "combo" part of the combo, which is $6 more than the item on its own. Deliveroo support refunds me 85c for the mistake.
Had similar last time I ordered, cancellation, and then promises of a refund. It's been nearly two months now, and I'm still chasing up my refund
Doordash did the same to me and I never got the refund.
The Deliveroo support team is also the worst of the delivery apps. Completely incompetent, with no desire to resolve any issue.
They're penalised when they give away credits.

Same experience. Over 4 deliveries, 2 riders ghosted the delivery, food sat at the restaurant. Had those refunded after calling the call centre multiple times. The other 2 were late and cold. Pretty good offer but the service levels kill the value.
I ordered vergetarian meal and they sent meat dish. I complained to support and they said they can't do anything about it. Worst support.
They are absolutely abysmal. I had two orders within a week where the order delivered was incomplete. The first the driver left one of two bags at the restaurant, and the second the restaurant failed to make a couple of items.
Both restaurants communicated this with Deliveroo, yet Deliveroo refused to organise a re-delivery of the items at the time, and refused to offer a refund "We've reviewed the details you've shared, and unfortunately we won't be able to offer you compensation this time".
Straight up robbery. Will never use them again, regardless of the offers they make.
That is obviously a scripted response because I got the same one.
This is why I usually don't try new places on Deliveroo unless I know I've got a backup plan…
But I had an order from oporto take 2 1/2 hours a few weeks ago, food was actually great and all there for 40% off, but took forever.
We ordered about $45 worth of Hungry Jacks last week and had it delivered 2 hours after placing the order. It had been sitting waiting to be picked up by a driver for close to 2 close. Arrived stone cold. When I hit up the customer support, I was told they could only refund $8 of my order, as it was "still fit for consumption". They ended up refunding the whole order after a lot of back and forth though. Still, I won't be using Deliveroo again.

For those who don't have a mastercard it still works with Revolut virtual card which is a MasterCard. It worked for me at least.
Pretty sure it's any type of mastercard, can be debit or credit.
I was talking about who don't have a MasterCard debit or credit card like me, they can still get this deal using the Revolut one off virtual cards. While the physical card issues by Revolut is a Visa card, their one off virtual cards are issued by MasterCard.

Papparich's food doesn't taste good for the money you paid for. may be it differs from location, but the one in city is trash. Prefer to eat (mostly nasi lemak) from other small shops, which serve tastier food n cheaper too

The plus deals seem to be delivery only. I assume the workaround is to park out front use their address as delivery address with notes to deliver to car with rego XX. Has anyone tried this and any issues? It seems wasteful tho for the delivery driver to come to the store just to be the middleman for the delivery. And I am not signing up to become a driver to self-deliver, lol.

Young Asian guy. I told him he could mark as complete in his app and go to his next job (and showed him the order on my phone).
I think he was very confused. He wanted to get the order himself and hand it over to me. Asked him to ask for cutlery too and he didn’t, said I could ask them for it.

Because when I enter my address for delivery the store was not showing in the app (even though it's relatively close), so I had to enter the store address and picked it up from the driver there.

I just did this last night. Pick an apartment complex if you can without putting the unit number. Then add delivery instruction as "call my mobile when you arrive" or something like that. In my case I just parked in front of the building and waited for the delivery guy.

Anyone got issues using deliveroo gift cards in these 40% off orders? My last order with them using gift cards results in they charging me FULL price on tge gift cardbalance despite the payment page showed the discounted final price!

Restaurants can opt for delivery only or both pick-up and delivery. I notice chain/big restaurants usually do not want you to do pick up. I'm guessing it's something to do with margin/fee charged by Deliveroo or other similar company for that matter.
Omg, they takes forever to deliver and when it was picked up, few minutes later my order said it was delivered when it’s not.
Rider support called me to say the delivery is cancelled because damaged packaging. And they offer free delivery (isn’t it free anyway because I’m plus member) but it will takes 1 hr or so to get it.
And no compensation at all.
On the other hand, my order at HJ when it was on special 40%off few weeks back also get cancelled after 1 hr plus delay after the original wait time. But they gave me $30 credit to compensate.
Why there’s difference in compensation? I have no idea but after i spend my last credit i have, i will never order from this app again!
