Now that there has been progress in PS5 jailbreaking, might even consider the cheaper digital version…..

Ordered thanks to the trade-in option, it's about $300 off for a PS4 PRO. Pretty good considering that even by selling privately you could only get $300 - $350

I called them to check and they said to just bring everything at the time of the collection and they will reduce the price.

Yea early days you could have. I sold my PS4 Pro for $450 and got the PS5 for $640 off amazon. The longer you wait the less the old ones are worth and seemingly the new one doesn't drop.

This console generation has been a massive disappointment. Not a single worthwhile game in 2 years. Hold on to your ps4s, till they release ps5 pro.
There were a few OK ones, but nothing spectacular. PlayStation had Demon Souls and Horizon Forbidden West. For Xbox, there were Forza and Halo. These were good enough to kill some time, but a far cry from Sony’s last-generation lineup. The real killer games of this generation are yet to come - God of War Ragnarok may be one, Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and Starfield following in 2023.

But I can still play Ragnarok on my old ps4 pro.The load times and cooling alone was worth it haha. Also it atleast made most games 60fps now which is great.
PC is still way to expensive for me. Not hardcore enough perhaps.@onlinepred: I didn't find much between load time difference from PS4 Pro with SSD to a PS5 for (at least) GT7.
@Porker: Oh really? I went to my mates who has a PNY ssd in his PS4 pro, and it felt noticeable slower just loading the game. Also the obvious visible graphics differences hey.
Well that's just completely unfair, in the last 2 years we've had a new Forza, Halo, Spider-Man, Horizon, Last of Us, there's MS Flight Sim, two or three Gears games, and so on
Now if you meant a single game worth buying a current gen console for, or that is even exclusive to current gen consoles…

It's actually a "backorder" because it was launched 2 yrs back. "Preorder" is the term used before something launches. But people still say preorder for some strange reason.

Not worth the money. I went from ps5 to xbox series x and heaps better. Better specials on digital games and gamepass is what sold me, especially thanks to ozbargain for cheap deal (converting 3yrs xbox live to gamepass for inder $80.
Wait until you get into Argentinian game codes on Eneba and the sort. International codes working on the same account and not needing to keep up with foreign accounts and currency conversions and whatnot is fantastic.

They apparently had the same problem on ps4s, my brother told me his hdmi port broke on his 2.5yr old ps4. He said it was crap design and greed (repair quote from Sony was about $250 or more, i can't remember)

I was on the fence about getting a ps5, couldn't find stock and not interested in waiting lists /deposits ect just want to go to the store grab one off the shelf and go home with it. Im still happy with my ps4 pro on a 4k tv with a 3tb hhd plugged into it, well now that there seems to be stock around but the price has gone up im just going to wait for a deep discount/good bundle or wait for the ps5 pro that has been rumored in 2024
