The app for free is not really a deal, plenty of free or near free apps that do the same as this.

I'm not sure why you got negged. A company that is run this poorly should be called out. Everyone has a right to know and can then decide if they want to go ahead with their purchase (nothing against you if you still decide to go ahead - it's more about consumer choice and being informed before you make a purchase decision).
