$95 Clearance *Student* Adobe Titles at Myer Sydney CBD

40

Bunch of them were in the clearance basket, along with VMWare Fusion 3. Last time I checked, there were copies of Acrobat 9 Pro, Web and Design Standard CS3.3 and that's about it. I'm quite certain they were mostly for Mac.

Attached is my receipt and I got an extra discount because I asked if he could do any better.

This can be used as an eligible upgrade path to CS6 fyi.

now the real bargain would be to check if these are usable as an upgrade price to the newer version - giving substantial savings.

  • Most Adobe software are not upgradable if it's too many versions before, and they won't run on recent OS X.

I spent close to half an hour combing through forums and adobe's website on CS3 even before buying this. it'll be compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 lion, CS2 and under isn't.

**Owners of CS3 and CS4 individual products and suite editions will receive temporary upgrade pricing to CS6 until December 31, 2012. After that date, only customers on CS5 or CS5.5 will qualify for upgrade pricing to CS6.

      • Had a look as well, YMMV.

As for upgrade path, at least it's an option, so nice deal there. Of course maybe cheaper to purchase the relevant academic/student version as long as you are eligible as they allow commercial use on privately owned machines:

Academic versions come with activation codes, so you don't need to send ID like the student version.

its pretty good price though its students edition you just bought…they are definitely not $449

    • Sure on that? $409 on special for CS6 S&T edition. I'm aware it's a student copy I got, and why I've got a Staff and Student ID at my university.

      • Design Premium is $399, but Adobe did vary its price over the last couple of years.

  • If I'm doing a non-related certificate at Tafe, do I qualify? :P

    • It's a college, so yeah. As long as you have valid school ID, i think that's all you really need to submit (from reading the requirements).

Hey guys just a heads up from someone who has sold these in the past, you need to activate this with proof that your a student or teacher as it only comes with something like a 30 trial key to use until you get validated. Have not tried to go through the process of getting approved so can't comment on how easy/hard it is to do.I'm sure most people know this but again just a heads up for those that don't.

    • I'll be sure to report my experience when I have a chance to validate whether CS3.3 is fine with working on my Mac.

I've gone through the process before. Didn't have any problems, and they didn't seem concerned with what course I was studying. It's not a hard process, but can be a little time consuming, although you get the full version of the software for a massive discount, so well worth the effort in my opinion.
