Same, submitted last night, still no email

  • +2

I submitted my claim two days ago and still nothing. Anyone know what's going on??

  • -1

It occurred to me people might have started to return products as well to double dip and make a profit. I think that flag the system for manual reviews now.

    • +1

Why not just be happy for free coffee instead of making profit? Besides Coles doesn't allow refund/exchange. And my local Woolworths doesn't even allow exchange unless approved by duty manager. I bought a pack of button battery last week, need 2025 but bought 2032. Went back to Woolworths next day with receipt I had to wait there for duty manager to approve exchange.

      • I've found Woolies return policy very easy. I recently returned some Sistema containers (wrong side) for a full refund without having the receipt. I've had similar experiences with coles. Maybe it depends on the product category.

As for the beans, yes, free coffee sounds pretty good to me, but if this cashback doesn't come through it will be a bitter brew at $34!

      • +3

Coles has resumed change of mind returns long ago. It is Woolies who still stick to the covid excuse despite the pandemic declaration is over.

        • +2

Not my lical Coles. Some staff at my local Coles behaved like they own the store. That being said I have never returned anything to Coles apart from one item that passed best before date which I returned straight after I paid. They make up new rules all the time. Not sure of their current policy.

        • Do you know if Woolies still not giving rain check?

          • +1

@bbking18: not giving. asked two weeks ago.

            • @bird380: Thanks.

              • @bbking18: But Coles is still offering raincheck.

                • +1

@bird380: Yes I know. This is where the problem is. Some staff at my local Coles are not helpful when giving out rain check. Once, I ask for a rain check for 2 frozen duck and got told can only give me a raincheck for ONE frozen duck. I asked about max quantity of 6 per rain check. She firmly denied my request. Told me to go to another Coles to get them. More similar things I don't even want to start.

And yes, after couple of times I did complained to Coles Customer Service and they apologized and said I would hear from local store manager. Long story. I hate to repeat. Final outcome was got told store manager had discretion regarding raincheck although it wasn't clearly mentioned in T&Cs.

        • This is why we only shop at Coles, Aldi and Costco now and not Woolworths

      • Some people might be.

  • +1

I think they ran out of gift cards

    • damn, maybe true

  • I hope they will honour claims made. I just wanted to try the barista black.

    • me too! I really bought the coffee for trying out!

  • +1

I got my claim approved 7 hours after the submission. However, the claim card button in the email does not working. I have emailed them request for an other digital Mastercard. Anyone have the problem?

    • +1

It must be accessed on a mobile device, not desktop.

      This is the best guide.

      • That guide does not work for me. I received email but the claim button is not clickable.

    • Did you manage to get yours working? I didn't receive any text either so I'm not sure how this works now.

    • Finally got my approval email after submitting on Wednesday night. However there is no clickable claim button. So fail lol

      • Emailed them couple times. They resent the approval email. However, the claim button still not clickable. I emailed them again, they seems to reply on the third business day.

        • Update:
Received a clickable link to redeem the Mastercard at the end.

  • Seems like they're not honoring the promo anymore, submitted receipt afternoon of the 13th. Hopefully Coles will accept the refund, otherwise might need to initiate a chargeback on my CC …

    • Was your claim rejected?
Me and my partner just submitted one today ..

      • Any luck with your claims today?

        • No response at all.
No email confirmation of my claim either.

    • I hope coles can do exchange items, I'm just very unhappy with this promo, i didn't get approval neither rejection

      • Second that. That's $34 I'd like to keep.. Sigh~

      • I think they are just manually checking which takes time. I won't return mine regardless the outcome. I am sure they will honor them as we haven't done anything wrong and they didn't pull the promo.

    • +1

Too early to say that. It does say it can take up to 10 business days in the T&C

      • +2

can take up to 10 business days in the T&C

But people are freaking out after not getting it within 5 minutes… Will somebody think of the people!?

        • +3

Though it would be nice to at least get a confirmation email that it’s being processed

          • @foxes28: Didn't you get a confirmation straight after submitting the claim with claim reference ID?

            • @bbking18: No I didn’t! When did you submit yours? I got the claim ID on their page after submitting everything

              • @foxes28: Last Thursday. That's what I meant. There was no email confirmation. Just claim ID on their page.

                • @bbking18: Oh ok all good then - we are on the same boat!

                  • +2

@foxes28: Yes, should be fine. Just take time. Those people who have their claims approved within minutes are lucky. Now they must have decided to check more carefully which takes time. My opinion.

        • There is no reason to freak out.

          • @bbking18: what if we aren't allow exchange products at coles, couldnt it be a waste?

            • @ivyholmes: Don't worry too much. I still think should be fine.

    • +1

Just got my email. Submitted receipt on 13th too. Revoke your neg when you receive it

  • Haven’t got mine as well, submitted on 13th. Think they have to honour it, right? Or to where we could complain? Opened and tried the medium roasted beans I bought, don’t like it at all. Would be pretty upset if I can’t get back my $34

    • What beans do you normally buy?

These are Arabica beans sourced from farms around the world.

  • +2

if they don't honour this, ill be mad.

  • +2

Made 2 claims under 2 different accounts on 13 Oct. Neither of the accounts received any email confirmation or anything yet.

    • Same.

  • +2

Still nothing from a claim I placed on Friday. I'm in no rush for the cashback, but I would have thought at a minimum any competent cashback promo would send an email confirming the claim was received.

  • I will wait. Manually will take some time.

  • +3

Was worried that this wouldn't work but I just received my email! Made claim on Thursday 13 October

    • How many did you claim?

      • Just one for the beans. Was like $34 I think from memory

    • What’s the sender or subject of the email? So I can search for it and make sure I won’t missed

    • That's great! Good to know they are still honouring the promo.

Though I submitted mine on the same day with you yet haven't heard anything since. Fingers crossed I'll get something today

      • Same here.

    • Gosh, my claim was submitted on 12/10/22. Fingers crossed!

      • +1

They should be honouring it. They now have a TV advert about this promo.

      • Probably waiting for the return window to close now. i.e 7 - 10 business days for verify + reimbursement.

        • +1

Coles doesnt have a set return window while Woolies doesnt even allow you to return. They are probably just slow.

          • @truetypezk: Email received for claim. So relax fellas - not truetypezk - just used your post as last in line (submitted on 14th)

          • @truetypezk: For change of mind yes.

            • @Sheng: I don't think so. I have returned non-perishable items purchased months ago without any issues. If you check their website under return policy, it simply says:

I’ve changed my mind and no longer want an item I’ve purchased. Can I return it?
Yes, just ensure the item is unopened and in its original packaging and you can return your item to any Coles store along with your invoice for a refund.

who can i email as the claim card link doesn't seem to work even after using my phone to access it

  • +1

argh my digital receipt was rejected……….@#$#$!#$@#$
I have sent it in again…..but……damn overpriced instant coffee

    • What was the reason it was rejected?

      • "We have reviewed your claim in the Moccona Barista Reserve Promotion and were unable to successfully validate your submission."

  • My claim and receipt were also rejected. I uploaded an electronic receipt from Woolworths Reward App.

    • I'm wondering if they were too lazy to open a PDF

  • Got rejected even though the receipt had all the info they requested for….. %$$^%$$$#####

  • Looks like all the rejection emails are coming through now. I got it as well

  • REJECTED … Damn I bought it at full price …

    • Did they say why?

      • This could be:
Because there is an issue with your uploaded proof of purchase
        or
Your entry does not comply with the promotional terms and conditions

  • Put in a claim on 14/10, got the gift card email today.

  • Mine was accepted within 5 mins, my wife's just got rejected.
Coles won't refund or exchange will they?

    • Do they provide a reason why it was rejected?

      • Not really… Just a list of potential reasons, like the receipt wasn't visible etc

        • I also get rejected. I sent an email of fully clear receipt, if they still reject me. I'll exchange the beans at coles

  • Just got approved, submitted on 13/10

    • Are you available to redeem the Mastercard? Mine was approved, but there was no clickable link. I emailed them about the issue and they resent. Still no clickable link. I emailed again and they replied saying claim was invalid… asked me to send the receipt again. They must have tons of emails to reply, topically reply in 3 or more days.

      • yes, I received 2 email, one clickable another one NOT

      • I can claim the giftcard, the first email works second email doesnt work, make sure check ur spam

  • Mine was approved, submitted on 14/10,

Make sure receipt has all the information as listed on the website…..

An eligible purchase receipt must only be used for a maximum of one (1) claim and must clearly specify:
    • the Participating Product purchased
    • the price of the Participating Product purchased
    • the Participating Retailer for the purchase
    • the purchase date and time
    • the receipt number; and
    • that payment for the Participating Product purchased has been received in full.

If the purchase receipt is missing any of the above information, or is illegible or indecipherable, it will render the claim invalid.

If a claimant uses the same purchase receipt to submit multiple claims, the Promoter will render all claims submitted by that claimant, using that one receipt, invalid.

  • Finally got mine (submitted 13/10). Anyone else having issue with adding the card? I downloaded the TCN app, used the customer reference no from the text message to redeem the card. I can see the Moccona card but it just keep loading.

    • Got two emails. Received sms okay. When trying to click through the link in sms, it keeps loading without actually getting into TCN app. Eventually, the error message came up saying the activation code doesn't exist…What the heck…

      • keep on trying, at first I couldn't put it on my gpay, but I redo again and it works

      • That means its already activated. Instead you need to login via your number now.

    • Same here, submitted on 13th and got email confirmation today. Try to activate card now, but TCN app kept loading

    • Having the same problem. Emailed TCN to ask how to resolve, auto-reply email says they updated the app on 18 Oct so I wonder if the update was a total dud. Will update if any advice is received.

      • Read the comment below - basically reinstalling the app seems to fix the problem

  • Mine was Rejected..,

  • +1

Got approved but it sure takes a shit ton of effort to retrieve the card from TCN. Still haven't managed to cause they channel through the app and the app just doesnt load.

    • Sign out on the TCN app.

    • +1

I can't seem to log into the TCN app as well, it auto populates the verification code from text message but then goes back to the main login screen immediately…
