          Also

          • @happydragon: You are referring to the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 right?

            • +2

@DanielYuuuu: Yes, I sold my qc45 and replaced it by a bose 700 as call quality was important for me.

              • @happydragon: I sold my bose 700 and replaced it by qc45 lol.

                • @DanielYuuuu: If you are not using the headphones for calling, qc45 is more comfortable. So what you did makes sense.

@happydragon: I just replaced the qc45 by AirPods pro 2 a few days ago, it has both the comfort as well as a better call quality. 😀

          • +2

@happydragon: I’ve got both and I use my 700 more too.
It’s all preference at the end. I’m unsure the complaint on noise cancelling, I can’t tell the different in the two

But this design looks more modern. Qc45 looks outdated. 700 is often discounted now. Suspect a new replacement is due to be announced.

      • It went down to $300 more than a year ago. I missed that, and still waiting :-(

    • Weird I've been using mine for a year with my 77C1 no problems…

Thanks OP, bought one using 3% off gift card and will claim GST when I travel in a few weeks. Brings it down to $335.66 after GST refund :)

  • can someone tell me if these NC700's have the ability to connect to airline headphone ports via cable & adapter? thanks

Bose website suggest it comes with an audio cable in the box:
"2.5-mm audio cable for the headphone side and a standard 3.5-mm jack for the device side"
You may need to bring one of those double 3.5mm mono male to 3.5mm stereo female jacks, depending on aircraft setup.

FWIW had terrible audio quality with my QC35 and audio cable with or without adapter when flying a few years ago. Don't think the noise cancelling works when using the audio cable.

I had brought along a small Bluetooth transmitter which took 3.5mm stereo in. Powered by usb. This setup worked a treat. Noise cancellation on. No cords to get in the way when eating or standing up for fellow passengers when sitting in the aisle seat.

Only thing I missed was something to attach the setup near the little screen. So bring some bluetack or usb + audio cables long enough to tuck BT transmitter into seat pocket if you go that way.
