I think this is good value. Anyone else?

    • It would seem so

If you booked it yourself, flights $600 × 2 = $1200. You can find 4-5 star resorts on the island for maybe $100 a night ($100 × 6 =$600). It's not bad value per se but you if you time you could probably get better value if you booked it yourself.

Why anyone would still go to Bali after recent events amazes me. Its like no insult bothers us, or gets in the way of a cheap good time. Smuggle weed, 25 year sentence, bit of heroin death penalty (dont get me wrong Im fine with these sentences, its not like a surprise)… help murder and injure hundreds in terrorism, get a release date in under 20.

And yet we keep going there?

Ofcouse they're backward, its a state that whose populace value religion over inividual liberty, its why its so cheap to go there.
If they started to improve their society it would no longer be so lucrative as a tourist location as the pricetag would increase significantly.

Balinese people are wonderful, surf pumps. Food and accommodation are extremely cheap. Motorbike rental @$4p/d. What's not to like? You're right about those bastards in Jakarta giving the terrorists lenient sentences though! 20 year bombing memorial tomorrow. R.I.P. Beautiful People.Prayers

    • What recent events?

What, like Australians don’t murder, assault (physical/sexual), steal, smuggle drugs, sell drugs, defraud, burgle, have convicted terrorists here we release back into the community onshore here in this great country of ours??

Maybe we should not leave our houses?

      • -1

Shwing and a miss… its not the individuals themselves (crime is everywhere), its the system that releases people who contributed to the death of 202 people, and injuring hundreds more (whats missing is Justice..) You get that right? They released 2 of the individuals closely involved in the creation, planning and execution. Let me help you see that youre grasping at straws, the drugs reference I already made, was about Australians doing the wrong thing in Bali, and Im fine with their sentences. Im not fine their sentence is harsher than the terrorists… and that Australians will still travel there, for cheap fun.

Like I said, some people will permit anything, for a few bucks of fun. Their principles are dirt cheap. 202 people murdered, and participants found guilty, are free today by a system that executes heroin addicts and traffickers. Its not like they dont have a penalty available.

    • "Smuggle weed, 25 year sentence, bit of heroin death penalty (dont get me wrong Im fine with these sentences, its not like a surprise)"

      So, don't do that???

What are you saying? No one should go to Bali because some people are idiots??

      Explain?

      • -1

You comprehend terribly. "So dont do that?" Yeah I know, its what I said.

Where did I say anyone should do drugs, smuggle drugs or be set free for doing drugs? What Im saying is, and its not rocket science, that if drugs lands a harsh penalty, and it does, which is perfectly FINE… how does someone involved in the murder of 202 people, ever get released? At least 2 involved in the Bali bombing are now free.

I get it, I already said it, plenty of or peoples principles are cheap.

  • Don't know why people want to go there. Save a bit more and go to fiji. It's still a cheap holiday destination but more peace of mind and safer

  • +1

Everyone has their own holiday taste, you cant influence others based on your own preferences. For those who havent gone there, especially if you are young, let them go and experience. Then try to fiji (and other parts of the world) and let them compare.
I went both and they are not apple to apple

  • Any good deals going on in Seminyak in January?, I went into flight centre and they were useless and rude.

  • Try Grandmas Hotel in Seminyak for $A29 a night in January.

    See: https://www.grandmashotel.com/seminyak

    I have stayed there.

  • Are there any hotels which are for adults only? Is there such a thing? Trying to plan an adult parent/adult child trip and don't really want to deal with "screaming families" throughout. Only hotels I find are those for romantic couples.

    • Yes. There are a few actually - most of them quite expensive though. Maybe check out the 4⭐️ Pearl Boutique Hotel - Adult Only in Legian. Around $100 a night including breakfast.

  • You can stay at Grandmas Hotel in Seminyak for $A29 a night in January 2023. I did not see any children there.

I stayed at the Fashion Hotel, Legian for $A32 a night in August this year. There were a few children belonging to domestic tourists, but they were well behaved. This hotel is really in Kuta, but they claim it is in Legian. The price of $A32 includes a buffet breakfast for two. I booked through Agoda.
