    I think it's overrated, returned(Titan EVO).
I am using NeueChair(GTCHAIR ODM) right now, still not recommended.

  • +3

Extremely overrated. Would never buy again.

    Price in title please

I've got a Titan Evo 2022 and love it. Managed to get work to fund most of it which took out the sting.

  • +2

Nearly all options not in stock and not able to be ordered. NAPA leather on preorder for December shipment. Pass…

  • -3

These are quite good especially compared to chairs at similar price point and challenges the most expensive work chairs aswell that are like $3k

  • +1

I've been waiting since the end of last year for the Pokemon chairs, I'm guessing there's a licensing issue. It's a day one buy for me once they sort it out.

  • +1

I’ve hard my softweave Titan for a few years and have been impressed with it.

  • +5

The seat part is the hardest and most uncomfortable ive ever used.
The rest of the chair is nice but it's nothing special and there are more comfortable chairs for less money.

    • Which ones do you recommend instead?

    • +1

Yes! I had exactly the same experience with my Secret Lab chair and sold it within a month of getting it. For 2-3 hours of gaming it was fine but for all day sitting (working from home), absolutely terrible.

      • +1

Should be looking at a professional tier chair if you’re in it all day. Herman miller or something of that calibre. There are a few mobs that sell them second hand for a palatable price for home use.

        • -1

looks at Herman Miller Mirra in my home office
          ;)

  • Question for those with one of these chairs, how do they go lounging back in them? I like to play controller games more laid back than upright like where playing an FPS at the PC.

    • +1

I love my Secretlab and can sit upright in it for 12hrs plus.

      But

Sitting back lying down basically and gaming on controller? Sore as butt after an hour or two. And I'm a light dude not heavy at all.

      Take it as you will.

    • I actually forgot it can do this… lol

    • So a strange feature that I love for lounging back is when the seat is connected to the lean function. So when you lean back, the seat of the chair moves forward at the same time. This recenters your weight over the legs of the chair (to stop you falling over) and is also more comfortable.

Another feature is an adjustable head, so you can support your neck in the right areas during an incline.

Finally I found having arms on the chair way more comfortable to lean in than without because the chair arms keep your arms from sliding away from your body.

      ~

I've never seen functions 1 and 2 on a gaming chair, however I have experienced them on a few high end office chairs (Ergohuman to name one).

The prices have been the same for ages. What Secret Lab has been doing has been putting on "sales" so that you can't use the $25 referral code while keeping prices the same.

I have a Titan Pro 22 xl. Got it as it was rated over 100kg (am 103). Should have got the one lower. Base is very hard, and the lowest setting is not low enough for me.
I spend all day in mine. Really not that comfortable. My $300 chair from office works was comfier.
However other people I know love theirs. Would suggest before buying one to find someone local and ask to try it out. Personally won’t be buying another

    • I find this is a big issue that they don’t really address. People seem to over compensate and get the more expensive heavier duty chair then have um issues with seat hardness. If you follow their size guide they’re pretty bang on imho.

      • Agreed.
I contacted them and asked, they said i should get the XL chair. :(

      • +1

Second issue is once you buy, there's no chance of a return due to international shipping.

  • +1

Have one.. good build, but not very comfortable. Definitely overrated.

  • I got my Titan in Jan 2019 for $549. I use it every day for what is probably 12-15 hours a day and I love it! The seat is still firm after all these years and I only see a bit of wear under my left thigh as I often tuck my right foot under it.

  • get a buro metro 2 task chair thank me later

    • I've seen this one mentioned a fair bit and keen to try one - but the joys of living in regional QLD mean I have a limited selection of ergo/task chairs to try out in person :(

      • Tell me about it. I'm in Cairns with just a few shops to try. Would really like to have a sit on a Herman Miller but no chance here.

  • Literally bought a Titan XL 3 weeks ago…

  • I think that anda seat 50% off is better, that napa leather version. I’d buy if I don’t have one already

  • +2

Dog turd chair , endless back pain, ended up selling mine and getting a Herman Miller embody

  • Do not buy. Highly overated.

  • +1

Contrary to most of the comments here I have an Omega and I love mine!

  • Just adding my +1, love my chair. Go through the recommendations on the website and go for the one that suits your body type and you should be fine. Don't go the XL unless you actually need to, the foam is super hard in those.

Having said that its a gaming chair, so treat it as such, this isn't an appropriate chair for someone that works from home 5 days a week @ 8 hrs a day.

    • +3

I actually thought that the Gaming chair was designed for someone sitting in the chair for extended hours every day, even more than 'office' as you will tend to walk around etc while gamers tend to stay in the same spot for very extended hours.
Either way, I love my old Titan.

      • Yeah I think thats more because of an old stereotype, same lines as gamers drinking mountain dew and eating doritos as their main diet lol. Most people who play games do it for 1-2 hours a day max. Unless sponsored youll find most streamers and youtube creators(the kinds of people in gaming that do sit for long hours) have Herman Millers or something along those lines, the gaming chairs are used in Esports and the rest - where image is more important than comfort as the majority of esport events have gamers sitting for maybe 2-3 hours at most at a time.

        • +2

Disagree. Gaming chairs should cater for long stints of sitting.

          • @Circly: That’s just not how business works, a product is only designed to meet its intended use, anything more than that is a bonus and shouldn’t be expected. When you consider the average time spent gaming, these are perfectly fine. Why would they cater to a niche case where someone’s using it for 8+ hours.

            • @doobey1231: That's ME!!! :-)
I'm in my chair from about 8am until 12 midnight. Breaks for food etc and a daily 90 min walk/jog if the weather is good.
In the old days (10-15 years ago) I would be playing WOW for 6-8 hours straight.

  • +1

Crazy to spend that on a chair that doesn't have 4 wayn adjustments, can get a better office chair for less at Officeworks with 10 year warranty.
I guess comfort is subjective, going by the comments here

  • I bought an Omega a few years back and it's just not comfortable for me.

The base doesn't go low enough so my feet don't touch the ground properly. Also the seat base itself is rock hard and makes my butt sore and cuts off circulation to my legs.

  • Agree with many of the comments here. However if you are taller and have a large seat, the XL is pretty great. I prefer mine over a Herman Miller which I find uncomfortable for all day sitting. One thing to be aware of is that they wobble at the base post. Google it there are some very long threads on reddit etc. Getting support for this issue is a PIA took many weeks of back and forth. TLDR the base seat post does not fit tightly enough into the base causing it to wobble, its very noticeable if you come from a chair that doesnt do this e.g some $100 officeworks chair :) They do have a return option etc (shipping at your cost) but yes buyer beware. If you can try before you buy I think thats a great option. I think they are much better quality than the 3-400$ Officeworks gaming chairs and fit somewhere in between that price point and decent office chair pricepoint. I wouldnt recommend the secretlab to anyone, but they do look nice !!!! There are prob many better options as mentioned here. However for people that are tall with big arses, not too many other options.

  • I have an Omega and I love mine. At least 3 others have bought the chair on my recommendation and love it as well. Excellent chair IMO for its price point

  • I just got my Titan XL 2022 (Software R for ~$835 delivered) and the chair is pretty comfortable. I had an HM Aeron at my old job and I'd say for short period HM kicks ass, for long periods, they kinda average out (I found the HM started to get uncomfortable after about 8-10hrs). I had a Buro Mesh at home previously and it's definitely more comfortable than that.

The ass seat is HARD AF, now if you want lots of cushioning in your toushie, then these aren't for you, but I like the harder base. It also sits very "square" which I'm findinig is forcing me to sit upright more. I have the worst posture so this was actually causing me a bit of back pain the first week or so but now I'm sitting straighter and back is hurting less.

I think for the price they're still overrated, but then again, is around $1k for a chair really worth it when you can buy a high end GPU for the same and there is a lot more research, manufacturering etc that goes into a GPU!

SecretLabs marketing is BS though, the $20 newsletter is for accessories only, which are all shit, I got an email saying "you didn't order, here's free shipping" with small print "Oh we don't do that to WA". Was kinda pissed, almost made me not get one, but there isn't many other choices around the $1k mark.

If these sold for $600-700 delivered, it'd be a no-brainer but once they start getting >$700, you start paying for the branding.

    • "SecretLabs marketing is BS though,"

I watched a review on one of these chairs and customer service experience once. Guy was in the US but they posted about their horrible experience with the "guaranteed satisfaction or free returns" claim. Not sure if they still claim that.
They talked about the whole process of getting the chair, trying their best to like it but finding it terrible. Anyway TLDR it took many months of emails just to get them to honor the return. They also dragged it out made it extra hard and tried to charge them some amount of shipping the chair back. Never again he said.

  • Emailed them that I was still in the 45 day trial period for my chair and i'd like the price fixed to remedy the sales price they've just put on.

Got a long winded email outright denying it.

Not a happy camper. They knew in advance this sale was happening and when I asked their sales team pre-purchase if any sales were scheduled coming up I was told no.

  • I bought one of these last year and its nice and comfy after you get used to the hard base and good for laying back in with a foot stool but way overpriced and dead set the noisiest chair i have ever used.

    • How is it noisy? Noisy as in it creaks and squeaks?

      • Yep, every time i move.

  • What's the secret?? Some kind of special foam recipe in the seat?
Or is it just the name for marketing. They make it sound like they developed something secret about the seat in the "lab".

  • Only the royal blue is $609. Will they rotate other colours to go on sale fo $609?

  • Can anyone recommend other ergo type chairs at a similar/cheaper price point? I have always been told these racing gaming chairs aren't exactly meant for ergonomics but more for style.

    • I received mine and could say they are good at this price.

      • How long have you had it? Did you just buy it?

  • Arghhhhhhh! So conflicted!

Thought these would be good chairs for waifu and myself but it sounds like a 50% chance of me liking it
