I have only received less than 10 dollars from cashback or cashreward through out the last 24 months, when I expected at least a couple of hundred.of dollars. It took them 6 to 9 months to process and most of the higher value transactions are usually decline. I hope you guys have better experience but honestly I don't believe them anymore. They used to be better but this is personal my experience.

I've been using CR for less than 12 months and have so far received $232.48 in "tracked" purchases, and so far $88.02 of that has been approved. CR is a great company that provides a wonderful support team, should your tracking fail, and even greater rewards and upsizing's. I guess it comes down to personal preference. I hope you contacted them asking why they got declined.

i had one not track 2 weeks ago, simply raised it and not only did they investigate, they paid it out early (instead of 90 days or whatever the terms were). CR are fantastic when it comes to cashbacks tracking generally and their customer support is A+.
Cant say the same for SB who have a sketchy tracking rate and dont honor legitimate claims with bogus excuses like the retailer decided to not honor the transaction

    • +3

I don't really use CR much but I still managed to get up to $1,000 cash back over the last 2.5 years. That's for buying things that I would normally buy without cash rewards anyway.

Only had 1 single purchase not tracked but it was rectified it after I submitted an enquiry followed by the date and time of purchase and tax invoice.

When the product is already discounted to a fair value you can take the risk.

But some of these SIM deals are an example of what a financially literate person would not normally buy. In 2018 I would never have had the balls to risk $40 on a 20GB Amaysim SIM to make potentially make $5 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/418172), considering you could alternate between Catch and Kogan in those days for $5/month and Cashrewards was very iffy.

        • +2

I have bought many 1 month sims through CR for Woolies/Catch/Amaysim etc and never had a problem. Bought them because I needed them not because I wanted to make a few dollars out of them.

  • Same half of the boost tracked

    • +2

      eh?

    • +4

The boost same half of tracked

      • +3

But how to boost the other half of tracked?

        • +2

by halving the other boosted track.

  • +6

I have ordered so many boost Sims they no longer accept my id to activate them :s

    • Try contacting Boost. That generally works.

        From Chat:

Just to set a proper expectation, if you've purchased a sim kit online before then you will not be able to place another order. If you want to purchase another one, you will need to purchase it under a different name and information. By any chance do you have a friend or family member who has a valid Australian ID? If yes, you may purchase the sim using their information instead then once you already have the sim then we can still activate it under your name.

Still getting the same issue with different names, address and IDs

      Better than the Optus alternative

    • How many is that?

  • +3

So hard to activate the service, calling is working but I don't think it worth any more.

I better spend $1 for Kogan without the risk of cash back issues or activation difficulty.

I only activated 3 from the past deal and now had to call for the 4th.

    • +1

Hi SnoozeAndLose where to get $1 Kogan sim? Have you got a link? Thanks

  • +2

(enough to try the new Choccy soft serve at Maccas)

Yes, but have to wait for 3 months before I can afford to try.

    • +3

Weather will be hot enough by then.

      • TCN $17 MasterCard as cashback from Moccona Beans purchase worked! Freebie getting more freebie! Otherwise, I cant afford it.

I've quit my job now, just buy Boost sims instead.

  • +1

Need a 3 month deal to make it worthwhile.
Cant be assed for 28 days.

    • +1

28 days is certainly a long time to be assed

  • +1

Still havent gotten my cashback reported from a previous Boost Cashback offer.

    • +2

All of mine have tracked within minutes.

      • +1

Bought one almost a week ago and havent been tracked. Probably will make a claim when it becomes available.

  • +1

Got 2, then the 3rd 'couldn't be processed'.

  • +1

I purchased this last time and it tracked quickly.

  • If you're already with Boost does the old port out then back in trick work for these?

  • +1

Any boost deal on recharge? Looks like their 12 month is $150 plus. Colemobile is $100 for the same thing

  • +1

$36.00 spent on these boost sims. Hopefully get the cash rewards.

  • If you’re on boost 12M plan and you activate these with new number/different email will it count as new customer?

    • Does your ID say you’re a different person? You may have to do a more thorough job of reinventing yourself

    • I don't see a requirement must be a new customer.
For some of these offers I activated with new number, cashback was not rejected but still pending.

      • I am too scared to bite the bullet. The sim card activation to get the bonus data is referring to the new customer as opposed to a recharge, but I'm still uncomfortable with the fact that it could be used to reject cashback. If there was only a short period of time, like with the catchconnect sims then it would be easier to stomach.

I hope they continue this offer after we get some confirmations of people being paid but I suspect that when that happens either the offer will end or the rejections will start coming.

        • Two purchases from back in Jul/Aug were just approved today. Boost havent let me down so far!

  • Tracked straightaway, thanks.

  • +1

It was $15 cb on Sunday and now it's an additional $0.20? Lol

  • how quick are they to ship out the SIM's?
Ordered last Wednesday but the order hasn't been shipped out yet.

    • +1

One took about 4 working days
The other in 2 working days for me.

  • I got mine tracked straight away. But question - for the CB to be approved, do I need to activate it within 30 days? Can I do it like a week and 30 days? Or would that make the CB not approved?

    • Seems it has to be activated within 30 days of the order date.
One of mine took a week to arrive to metro Sydney, it only came after I sent an inquiry to Auspost and they must have taken it off a shelf at Strathfield sorting.
      So factor that delay in.

  • Does anyone always have issues activating Boost SIM cards?

After entering my ID details (with my ID successfully verified), then entering my email address and residential address, the next screen always comes up as “Something went wrong” (https://imgur.com/a/dgbiwcT). Anyone have any idea what’s happening?
