real cash back fair but can you use store credit on the purchase itself? if not it doesn't really count

Really sad that OCT10 cant applied to this

    • -1

Yeah, OCT10 didn't work for a few TVs that is on special.

    • -1

I could swear I saw many Serifs, including this very 65" one yesterday on TGG's OCT10 promo page marked down -15%, I even commented on it on the deal page.

You can try apply the code, didn't work for me.

        • Yeah, I could see it was "real cash" promo only the last night.

I was just wondering if TGG changed it.

          • @pizzaguy: Can you further emphasize what you meant on you posted comments below? Noted the stand which is not looking good, but serif highly impractical? What’s wrong with the tv specs? And the tv speakers are issue too?

Serif is highy impractical in many cases (and ugly), also it seems the sound might be worse (?) according to the specs. But it has NFC.

            • @thomalfa: My point was I posted about the TV being discounted.

The sounds specs are different, I haven't ever heard the TVs IRL.

  • Store in title.

    is this a good TV?

    • TV is good, the frame it sits in is UGLY as hell. There's a reason it's cheap, no one want's one in their living room.

      • +2

Jesus that's awful. 1990s Teac called, they want their design style back.

        • +1

Like don't get me wrong, this is a really good deal if it wasn't for the frame. So tempted to get this and just make it work.

          • @IJustKnowStuff: If they had a black colour option I think I could make do. But silver? No thanks

Each to their own. I have one and think it looks fantastic - but it definitely doesn't suit every room.

Beaware everyone, The Good Guys have a small clause in the T & Cs that ypu have to be subscribed to "Newsletters & promo emails" to receive the store credit. I have been doomed before the store staff told me that i will recieve the credit via email. When i contacted the good guys regarding the $100 credit, i was told that i am not eligible because i unsubscribed to newletter in 2021.

Really interesting TV given the nature that this is freestanding like a painting canvas, purchased one as a decoration.
Just not sure how the $70 store credit works, have registered their "digital wallet" thingy before purchase as directed, but have no clue how to actually get these 70 bucks.

    • There is a good chance you wont based on my previous experience they will find a way to reject

If you didn't want to mess around with realcash, the Serif 2022 65" is $1349 delivered on the Samsung EPP (e.g. Education, Government, Corporate partners).

If you were going to get it delivered, that's a $201 upfront savings, you don't need to redeem anything plus you save a dollar.

    • And you can also get $50 off by subscribing to Samsung newsletter (this is glitchy though)
Importantly, you must have a legit account (.edu.au / .gov.au) to purchase from Samsung EPP (unlike Apple).
