    Is this the 2022 version?

  • This or xiaomi

    • I'm wondering the same, which model are you looking at ?

This. Plenty of parts from third party like battery and head replacement. Have a g30 something and replacement was sacred and more expensive.

      • Bought mine about 6 months ago for ~$360 after cashback and Cheddar signup bonus, I think.
Battery died a month ago, they sent me a new one after a short phone call, no charge. The service is nice, although I feel the price is a bit high for the V8.
They were doing 20% off on their website for existing customers last month? They just came out with a new one like 5 days ago too.

        • $360 for a v8 is good value with your warranty after support. I will be waiting to snag such deal.

        • Did the battery completely die at once?

          • @bashar20: Yes, it was sudden, it didn’t slowly start being an issue, it went from working great to flashing red lights. We used it once a day for the room, once a week for our small house and once every two months on the couch. No carpets, generally clean, using standard mode.
They did replace the battery without issue though.

Get another $10 off with MCPAY10V4 code (spend over $80)

    • Don't think you can stack with 5% off.

  • This, or the V10 if it comes back down to $650?

Been holding out for another v10 deal, but this is tempting.

I got the v10 for $699 from the last Dyson deal maybe 3 weeks ago, and the bin emptying is so much easier than the v8. That alone for me was worth the money.

The only thing you might notice is the larger size, which makes it less ideal when vacumming small tight spaces. The v8 is much more compact than the v10. I do the car cleaning, and wrestling the v10 into some spaces is just not ideal. I keep the old v8 around for that.

Mum has v8 and I have v11. Mum purchased v8 Origin from Myer for $380 as a demo and I purchased mine off FB marketplace for $550 with stand + attachments. My pros and cons for both:
      V8
pros: value for money, sufficient suction on boost even on carpet, I feel it's more sturdy and more reliable than v11
cons: inferior battery life to v11, doesn't come with high torque head (Can be purchased separately)

      v11
pros: easy to empty the bin, intuitive digital screen showing remaining time, powerful, exceptional battery life
cons: red button is prone to failure and will require removal of whole body to replace (if not under warranty), hi torque motorhead played up on me a few times.

Overall, I need to be more delicate with the v11 and considering that it is out of warranty, I feel it's a ticking time bomb. Other than that both vacuums are great and have strong suction. If you are to choose between the v10 and v8, the major difference is suction power and battery life. v10 is slightly superior in both but that doesn't mean v8 is bad. Before getting my v11, I used my mum's v8 on my carpets and worked a charm. Just the battery life on boost mode isn't the greatest.

  • Great vacuum. Had got it for $340 few months ago via Cheddar. They had 20% off on this model + $70 signup bonus.

Could this potentially be 17% off tomorrow?

    $474.05! without eBay plus1
Just bought one now and used the code as well. It's not expired yet, at least not for me.

  • Now BIGW ebay has it for $399 with code PLUSDON. but im not sure about the model number. Is this a 2021 model or something (419680-01) ? Is there any difference?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/125437884186?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

    • I think they should be the same model since they both have de-tangling head. As far as I know, 2021 was not de-tangling.
Also this deal has 3 extra accessories compared to the BigW one.

  • Decided that I wanted all the attachments from this version at $474 without eBay plus, versus the limited attachments from the Big W deal as I don't have eBay plus.
It will replace the shitty $50 Kogan vacuum stick that burns my hand after running more than 5 minutes!

  • What’s the difference between this and the dyson v8 extra? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/155151616523?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…
