Not to be confused with Rams home loans, trading as RAMS Financial Group Pty Ltd (RAMS FG) which is part of the Westpac Group and distributes RAMS-branded home loans under a franchise model. Or the Los Angeles Rams which are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The Rams compete in the National Football League as a member of the National Football Conference West division. Or most importantly Aries (astrology), astrological sign also known as the Ram.

This is Random Access Memory, DDR5, for the next gen of motherboards. It is the cheapest I have seen on OzBargain, Don't quote me on that.

It is selling for $200+ at other stores. Also on sale at PLE

For the know it all PC builders, save your time over explaining everything, let this deal just be a deal

Can only buy 1? Isn’t matching RAM important?

    • Yes that does seem annoying, having to buy 1 after the other, bad Amazon!

PLE also has it without a limit, if you are within driving range, or want to pay shipping for any reason.

CL40 is bit concern for me and I found this

DDR5-4800 CAS 40 can only be as quick as DDR4-2400 CAS 20, which would in turn still be laggier than the slowest DDR4-2400 at CAS 18.

This RAM can only serve as a placeholder for anyone waiting for faster and cheaper ones in the future.

      • fair enough

Read the article, their conclusion is:

Verdict: It's No Blowout (But DDR5 Picks Up Where DDR4 Stops)

      DDR5 4800 CL40 was overall faster than DDR4 4400 CL19

Theoretically yes if it were the same, but ddr5 is not the same as ddr4

  • just get a z690 ddr4 mobo and use your exisitng ram until DDR5 becomes the norm.

Man, westpac's branding has gotten better with their colour palette choice.

    • +1

Would you say that the branding colour palette is Wonderfool?

Thanks for the clarification. I would have been so confused.

    • You’re very welcome nfr. For more information on Aries ♈️ the Ram. Look up at night.

  • What's the sweet spot of DDR5 for new gen ryzen.

DDR5-6000, which is still a lot more expensive than 4800

  • This is a funny looking male sheep. Are male sheep allowed on Ozbargain? Or am I getting this confused?
They weren't mentioned in the description as something to not be confused with, so an easy mistake.

    • You’re thinking of a Ram nuttapillar, a ram's headbutt can exert almost 800 pounds of force. This Ram only delivers 4800Mhz.

  • Title doesn't even mention ram, had no idea what the description was carrying on about.

    • Agreed…for the first 5-seconds.
Then, decided attempt was not funny, haha.

Easy mistake to make. To make it easy to understand that it was for Ram & not a 🐏 Ram. I included the following hints.

      Crucial
      32GB
      (1x32GB)
      DDR5
      UDIMM
      4800MHz
      Desktop
      PC Memory

As a backup there is an image.

Simple mistake toyocoro, that is Random Access Memories the fourth studio album by the French electronic duo Daft Punk, released on 17 May 2013 through Columbia Records.

This deal is for Random Access Memory, a DDR5 module from Crucial also known as Micron technology from Boise Idaho. Started on October 5, 1978, by four band members, Ward Parkinson (lead vocals), Joe Parkinson (drums), Dennis Wilson (bass) & Doug Pitman (guitar/side vocals).

Won't be long until average home loan sizes are 32 gigadollars.
