    • Most the sellers are the airport are charging 2 to 3 times the retail rate. I think I paid more than $10 buying the last 30 day sim card on the street so I'm ordering mine with Klook this time

What happened when you cannot find Klook kiosk or they do not opened for some reason? You lost your money ?

They're waiting directly outside past the row of people with taxi names. They send you a map via whatsapp. If they're closed they deliver it free to your hotel.

    • The Klook team wait outside the airport for you, make sure to keep an eye out for the Klook logo on their t-shirts!

  • Anyone used klook before in Bali and can share their experience? Cheers

Used them in September, everything went fine.

No issues either. Staff wear bright orange shirts and are wandering around the arrivals area.

  • Be careful now you have to register your overseas phone to be able to use it in Bali. Very annoying to arrive in Bali and not knowing this is a new thing foreigners have to do

  • Beware the Klook deal still advertises the deals as 10gb but now they’re saying 6 gb and they’re sorry for not updating the website. I’m going to try to cancel the Klook deal and go with this instead.

Is this the same or variation of the official Telkomsel Tourist SIM? Apart from the data allowance difference people on whirlpool/reddit seem to confirm that the klook ones don't come with a number unlike the Telkomsel one so you can't register for the gojek app? Though grab is good enough apparently.

    • Looks like buying the tourist SIM directly from Telkomsel is a better deal. Have you ever tried it though? If yes, where do you pick up the sim from? The website doesn't show the airport as a pick up location

      • I've also come across the same posts they're probably talking about ended up cancelling my Klook order and going with the Telkomsel one for an upcoming trip, also can confirm that online credit card payment checkout is still broken. Apparently the telkomsel kiosk should be around or just past the luggage carousel area? So definitely don't go past customs security before you pick it up, unlike the klook one which is from a person waiting outside.

  • Good deal but providing kyc and imei upfront are a deal breaker for me

  • Read t&c's..

You don't get "18gb" of data to use on anything

8.5gb for local quota data in Bali (data for anything you want)
8gb on apps (which apps is in this list? Not enough info)
1.5gb data quota in Indonesia outside of Bali.

    This is poor value.

You're better off getting a tourist Sim from Telkomsel directly (100k IDR for 25gb unrestricted data)

Haven't been able to pay via cc the last few days, so preordering and paying cash on arrival is your only option.

    • Can we pick up the SIM card and sort out the payment at the airport? Or do we have to go somewhere else?

    • paying cash on arrival is your only option

Welp hopefully there are ATMs near the area too then. Have also read that they don't take credit cards at the pop-up kiosk.

      • I read on Reddit that if you purchase the sim card at the airport, it would be 2-3 times more expensive. I'm wondering if we preorder the simcard from that link above, will they charge us the 100k as per their web or their inflated price?

        • When I put through my order they give you an order receipt page to print out or take with you to present to the kiosk. Didn't receive any email confirmations though, think their website is definitely a bit iffy.

          • @vawiyoci: Thanks mate. I'm going next week but still a bit worried of how it works. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me how it goes with yours at the airport. Tried to PM you but doesn't seem to work.

@foxes28: I am going this weekend. Send me a reminder.
If I cant get a sim at airport then Ill try the shopping mall.

              • @txb: Will drop you a PM early next week. Cheers mate

@foxes28: Airport telkomsel booth dosent do the prepaid tourist ones so don't bother.

They acknowledge it exists but you have to go to their store, closest one being at the Mall Bali Galleria

                  • @txb: That sucks. But thanks for letting me know!

                    • @foxes28: Tbh, it's the lesser of the evils than going around place to place asking for the wifi. A necessary evil imo. Cash only as well.

@foxes28: Interesting, when I arrived last weekend it was as expected near the luggage carousel (which is the final part after all the customs and Visa stuff). A couple of staff sitting at this long table they setup, their on the spot advertised price based on the placards was 350k though not the 100k online prepaid, but when I showed them my printout they still processed it without any fuss, and they do take EFTPOS in contrary to what I was originally told.

                      • @vawiyoci: Lucky you! I didn’t want to take the risk so I went with the Klook one.

                        • @foxes28: Yeah data only should be sufficient anyway as I didn't end up having to need a local number for gojek etc and grab was good enough for everything.

  • what happens if your flight lands at 9pm at the airport…?

  • It is showing as $15 now?
