    ALDI have a 1kg chicken and ham log for $3, which is what spam is. I tried it and tastes the same as spam without the brand name price increase.
    Tastes great fried on the pan for a few seconds and added to mi goreng.

    Spam used to be the cheap alternative to meat per kg, now it's more expensive than non processed meat if it's not on special 🤔

        Yea I bought it a week ago.
        Along with Devon ham which is in a similar log.

        Personally I prefer the taste of Devon on its own vs the spam flavoured on. Goes great in sandwiches.

    Time to stock up the cupboard. For the naysayers (whom probably haven't tried it TBH), it's delicious. Especially Turkey. Lightly fry it, stir it through some Nasi Goreng or Mie Goreng. Fried Rice. On toast. Rice & Egg. Mac & Cheese - This one kicks ass!, and it also helps make a ripper potato salad!

    I honestly can't remember if it was ever this low in price or if it has always been $3.75 on half off.

    This would have been between mid 90s to late 00s because I know in the last decade it has only been $3.75 lowest price iirc.
