So expensive now for the worst option you could make buying a new console. I didn't think I'd use discs this gen, but the price difference is so massive, PS5 games go on sale at EB/Amazon the same as they used to.
PSN pricing this generation is obscene, barely see as many sales either.
However I also got an XSX and use it significantly more because of Game Pass.
Enjoy them taking away your purchases because you have the wrong opinion or say the wrong words. Enjoy post-launch censorship. Enjoy always full RRP games at launch.
People really paying these inflated prices for 2 year old hardware while graphic card prices are tumbling? Saw cash converters scalping a used digital for $1024 yesterday as well. Was lucky enough to get mine at rrp before the price hike but will be selling it asap as soon as I'm done with god of war. Not that many exclusives to justify the price and you're better off getting a pc in the long term instead of paying -/+$100 per digital game. At the very least you're better of getting the disc version and buying used games from ebay for a fraction of the cost compared to the psn store. Atleast you can sell them when you're done with them.

I have a PS4 Pro (and PSVR 1) as well and will probably wait another 2 years before deciding whether or not to get the PS5. To me, PS5 needs to release a "must have" exclusive game that finally entices me to invest into the system.

I wonder what the digital vs disc sales are like, surely they can come up with a way so that people can "sell" their digital games right?
Didn't sony very recently announce they were planning on releasing external disk reader modules for use with digital units. Wonder if they would be compatible with older digital models. Would certainly make distribution easier so they don't have to keep making 2 models of the console.
I'm after digital but will wait for the console without the second controller at that price.
Also, I'm not sure if there are any restrictions, but it might be worth looking at getting a Big W gift card at 5% discount if you have NRMA or RACV membership. Check for the t&c's and any restrictions first though.
