why the hell did they make the lamps, in that same range, as battery operated!? so stupid

    • Not rechargeable? Power source: Micro USB input 5V DC 500mA

      • not the specific one listed, the lamps that are in the same range (actually looks like they've updated it to say DC powered now)

      maximum profit margin

    • Including a power supply costs money

I suspect it's because if they're mains powered (either directly or with a supplied 5V USB charger) then they have to go through a more rigorous approval process for sale in Australia as 240V powered devices.

Is this a deal or just letting us know they exist?

    • +5

Exist. These (landfill) are $20 all day everyday, thanks to Kmart's amazing buying power and customer satisfaction focus.

  • I wouldn’t say that is isn’t a deal as the PlayStation one in particular had been posted before and could hold a rrp of $48

So, it's not on sale. It just exists.

    Great.

This junk has been available a while around the place.

Quality on this companies range of lights are average.

Kmart started stocking these last year, it's usually to stock their range up for stocking or KK presents.

Anyways I bought the mushroom, from far away might look good, close up, pretty average printing and the plastic line ups are poor. The click mechanism for sounds is also not too solid, it works but yeah super average. Overall I feel like most of their product line is just cheap.

Also if you don't care about it too much, wait until Boxing day or Jan time frame, a lot of the range was on clearance early this year.

  • Has anyone got the Star Wars one and can comment on quality?
