I just bought 5x$50 cards and then went back for 8x$50 more and got all 13 000 ER points into the same account immediately upon check out.

I'm in the midst of checking out on eBay right now and I've hit a limit on using the cards + voucher code to pay for an item. I'm receiving an "Looks like you've used a lot of gift cards lately. You can redeem more gift cards in a couple of days.

I'm also on Chat support now and the comment from the CSR is: "….that you can use up to 8 gift cards in a singe order up to maximum value of AU$1500 and daily limit is AU$2000 and the monthly limit is AU$5000."

So be careful if you're trying to buy a lot of items.

    You'll find a lot of the terms listed on these promotions don't align with the real world experience.
    The 10 cards limit is one that's usually not enforced and the community generally knows that. I commented to confirm that it's still the case for this promotion.

      I went back for a top up card 10 days ago at a Woolworths close to a JB, and I didn't get the points on the second transaction, only the first. It was about an hour after the first transaction. Maybe because you went back straight away it worked for you before it had fully registered and filtered through in their system. Or maybe they just quietly disabled the restriction, either way I wouldn't risk it. I didn't see any transaction activity for it in the app (it was the only thing I bought) but I was sure I scanned the rewards card and always make sure I am conscious to make sure I do.

it seems TCN will throw up a 504 bad gateway error if you try to view too many gift cards from the redemption emails. I opened about 9 or 10 and then it started giving a 504 error. Tried multiple browsers on my computer and still the same problem. Tried opening them on my phone while on mobile data and it works.

        @MiscOzB: Check your card no. GIFT cards are supposed to have a card number starting with 5021 2510 286. If it is not, it might be some other type of card that has been mislabelled as a GIFT card. It doesn't matter how the card looks just the card no. matters.

I'm not sure if Uber gift card is working or points may not be instant for it. I purchased some TCN Gift and an Uber variable load card. The points total was only for the TCN Gift at the payment step, so I cancelled the Uber one before paying.

I then tried the $50 Uber instead, but not sure if it works, as didn't bother going to payment stage - as I think previously the points would show up on the screen as they scan them, but noticed that sometimes the points only shows up on screen when get to payment step, so I should have attempted getting to that point.

Anyway, if anyone can confirm worked for them as instant points (on screen / on docket) please let me know, as will reattempt another day. Thanks :)

Their system has a problem. I bought 3 x TCN on 3 separate transaction because I only had 3 Coles MC gift card each with $50 left. Got points for the first transaction instantly and no points for the other two.

Same for the Eftpos card last time, ended up requesting points via their facebook chat.

Similar story this week, bought 5x $50 TCN Gift yesterday from same store A and got points, then this morning, when I wanted to buy from store C, it showed 0 points again, so I decided to cancel.
        Seems the pattern for me, either the store was the issue (only the same store A was working for me, but they only had limited cards) or the staff had theory, that maybe the daily counter just didn't reset correctly for me (he said, it's connected to TCN system that should reset, but it didn't). Not sure anymore with the hit & miss I experienced recently with this sort of promo at woolies.

  there is no limit, but you need to call jbhifi to tell them that you are going to use 34 gc, what time is the quiet time so they can help you. make sure you remove the packaging of each gc and scratch the pin

  I don’t think there is a limit coded into the JB Hi-Fi checkout system for instore transactions. Someone once redeemed 81 TCN/Ultimate gift cards in one instore transaction.
  
  For online transactions, you cannot directly redeem the TCN gift cards in this deal on the JB Hi-Fi website, as these gift cards are EFTPOS gift cards. There is currently no way to exchange through them the TCN website for JB Hi-Fi gift cards, so your only option for using these TCN gift cards online is to go to a physical JB Hi-Fi store and use the TCN gift cards to purchase JB Hi-Fi gift cards (which you're officially not allowed to do, but if staff don't stop you, it will work).

Sorry for a long question Slightly off topic, but Re: EDR Rewards.
Mine have been hacked twice and new EDR cards issued each time.
Therefore I changed my rewards from 'Automatic Savings' to 'Bank for Christmas' (money off from 1/12/22).
I am concerned that the hackers may hit me on 1/12 before I get to the store.
Whilst in Woolies, can I change to 'Automatic Savings' and quickly make a purchase, and then change back to 'Bank for Christmas' to re-secure my account?? I.E. can I change back and forth? Thanks.

  I suggest you don’t keep any EDR dollars, once you hit $10 spend it. Although you use the “Bank for Christmas” the hackers will change it “Automatic Savings” then they will spend it all. All EDR accounts have been compromised and Woolworths does not care, they blamed us, the customers, saying our account get hacked.
  This is the discussion thread, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/651164#comment, please have a read and especially the new EDR application in iOS and Androids which allow you to store your credit card. I will be very worried. So if anyone here have store the credit card in the EDR app I recommend strongly to remove from that App. Woolworths will not hold responsible if your credit card get hacked. Worst gift card purchase experience ever. 17 of my 20 cards are wrong ones. It's truly astonishing that how they can go that wrong in manufacturing process. Now I have to deal with 17 wrong cards omg.
