50% off CLIF Bar Energy Bar $1.50 @ Woolworths

620

CLIF Bars half price at Woolworths

They are full of sugar and carbs, and that's exactly the point.

Very limited stock in stores from what I've seen, you may be better off avoiding disappointment and ordering online.

Deal will likely expire tomorrow when specials change on Wednesday.

Can't speak for everyone but if I'm eating 45g of carbs might as well make it something good lol.

If you're using these for their intended purpose they're actually brilliant. They're nice and moist so they don't make you need extra water and they give you an instant energy hit. Not my first choice for snacking either though.

    Thanks, bought 20 for @jv

I don't eat food with added sugar. Thanks anyway…

Needs the appropriate bold. I don't eat food

I guess CLIF missed out on a great marketing slogan. You should copyright this…

    ** fast-track yourself to diabetes***

*** best washed down with a soda

I was watching this today and it was interesting when the runner said,

“So usually the average runner is burning so many calories that you get in all your nutrient food and there’s only so many nutrients you can have in a day so you just need straight carbs and calories at that point.”

“That’s why it’s like never demonise the fun stuff. Just like make sure you have enough of the good stuff before the fun stuff”.

That must be why I see so many runners with CLIF bars… whilst the couch potatoes nibble on dates

      • +3

Couch potatoes are Netflix and chilling while nibbling on their dates.

normally Clif bars like this are good for longer distance cycling, and gels for running.

People like JV wouldn't understand that.

      • +2

I assume JV models himself on Jabba the Hutt.

Whats the definition of longer distance? So far i can ride 40km (30 if the road is not smooth like gravel) without having to top up my calories but when i do, i need like 2 of these Clif Bars 😅

      • +1

Typically I do not eat for a 30-40km ride, only consume fluid. For any 50km+ ride I start eating after first hour.

        • +1

Good to know i'm not that weak!

I can ride 30-40km without break as long as its on the way home haha

I was pretty disappointed with the flavours available in Australia versus overseas.

I tend to only eat them when hiking but the lack of apple and berry varieties is sad.

    • Yep great for hiking.

    Sugar is a carb…

Want 45 grams of carbs for their healthy energy effect, just eat 2 slices of white bread ( you can find that on the info panels of the side of many white loaves packaging ) or eat 10 teaspoonfuls of white sugar . Its all the same. Big carb eaters, like India have some of the worlds highest percentage of diabetics. But don't let facts fool you as its all about social media influencers now.

  • what section is this in? went to woollies today couldn't find it.
