I think this caters to more serious/pro PS5 gamers instead of regular gamers. I was keen and had a look at the features and realised that I don't need any of them.
No, it caters to fools in desperate need of lighter wallets as now they get to pay $ony for replacement stick modules when they drift instead of swapping out the shitty pot's everyone's using for analogue sticks with something like hall effect sensors.
All they've done is make something overpriced that potentially keeps sucking on the teat of cash cow wallets.
I have the Elite controller, it's not just for pros- really hard to go back to normal controllers after using back buttons. The Elite is straight up a better controller, with more customisation and more buttons. For $80 less.
How did you train your brain to use the back triggers? I haven’t been able to do it.
Started with one button. Then added another once I got used to it until all 4 were there.
I was only keen for this as a way to replace drifting joysticks, but man, guess I'll just buy DualSense controllers on sale once a year…

Yeah I've had sony every gen, and now genuinely considering getting rid of my ps5. Haven't even played it. Will likely play God of War and then get rid of it. Wait 4-5 years and pick up a slim( the current look is spastic as well, designed by 14 year olds).

Ridiculous price at first glance. But after looking at the feature I reckon price it's fairly reasonable, IMO. Definitely not aimed for the normal gamers, looks like Sony is aiming for serious gamers who intend to make use of the features. No different to most products in the market that has an entry level vs pro level offering. Though I'm not sure whether there are many serious gamers who would actually play with PS5 controller.

Excuse me, but WHAAAT? I would like to get this controller but not for this price. For comparison , right now Xbox Elite Controller 2 can be found between $178 - $249. This pricing is just absurd. Instead of buying this thing, I can buy 3 or even 4 PS5 controllers or 2 Xbox Elite Controller 2.

This is RRP so I expect it to go down to around 250 during peak sale periods. At 250 it may be a bit more affordable for most but at full RRP it's just too expensive for even regular gamers.

PS5 has never gone below RRP yet it's often posted here whenever it's in stock. A lot of people (myself included) were looking forward to the launch of this controller. So while it is RRP, I'm still glad is posted here.
