10% off Apple iMac/Mac Computers (Apple MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro Chip, 512GB SSD $2699) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

340

Edit: For those that don't have a JB Gift card to use up, note that it's cheaper at officeworks. E.g. https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/macbook-pr…

Looks like 10% off deal is back on and ends Sunday 30th Oct. A bit annoying the Telstra $99 p/m with gift card deal isn't on right now or I'd pull the trigger.

Also thinking JB are assuming the new MBP's will be announced 1st week of Nov.

Some of the one's I am looking at are:

14" MBP's

OW has the MBP's for tad bit cheaper at the moment, so maybe try to get them to price match

Or use your 15% gift card…. oh wai-

    • How so? Isn't it 2579 at OW? Vs 2699 * 90% = 2429.1

  • 10% off at TGG too

  • +1

I have a feeling that this deal is probably why JB & TGG were pulled out from this deal.

  • Id definitely grab it with telstra 99pm.

Similar to the iPad Pro new pricing .

I would suggest you to pull your trigger before the new price hit to the current M1 Pro and M1 Max.

Also, it’s cheaper at Officeworks: only $2500+

    • What do you mean by "before the new price hit to the current M1Pro and Max"?

      • Didn’t you know the prices on iPad lineup have recently raised since the new iPad Pro released ?

I guess Apple would do the same thing to MacBook lineup

        • Makes sense, our dollar is very weak vs US right now.

  • Anyone able to share if the difference between 8 core and 10 core will be important if I want to do some 4k video-editing?

      What formats are you using?

For some formats, the cpu has hardware acceleration decode and encode so you won’t use much of the cpu cores.

Also apple store in-store machines have FCP installed with sample media. You can have a try.

  • They are clearing stock for the new Macbook Pro with M2 Pro, which is rumoured to be released in November. Personally, I will wait for the new one.

    • Reckon there's much more benefit? Given the new one definitely won't have any discounts.

      • The new chip will surely be better. Whether it’s a significant gain or a marginal one I can’t tell at this stage. However buying a MacBook Pro now would feel like buying a discounted Iphone 13, knowing an Iphone 14 is coming out in a few weeks.

  • Officeworks is selling it cheaper! As someone's mentioned.

When the next woollies/coles apple gift card sale?

    • Hopefully before the next Cashrewards boosted cash back.

    • The current 20x Woolworths points on tcn gift/teen cards is decent

      • +1

Waiting for apple as it can be used in from the student store

  • What are the differences between the 13” and 14” models apart from the extra inch? The 13” with the M2 and 16gb/512gb can be bought for $2599 so unless I’m missing something (apart from that inch), it’s still not easy to justify getting these M1 models at this price point.

  • this 10% has been there for months in amazon and also in officeworks.no big deal i guess…

    • +3

maybe not a decent price but apple may increase the whole series price at November when they release a new version, so it might be the last chance to purchase current models at current discount.

  • What’s the Telstra $99 deal?

    • 24 month contract for $1000/1200/1400 voucher

      • Sometimes $1200. At the moment it's $1000, not enough for me to pull the trigger

  • It looks like Apple education store is slightly cheaper (MacBook Air).
    Thanks for the post.
