not a bad price for a set of good quality screwdrivers,

Wera 6-piece screwdriver set with Kraft form Plus handle for pleasant, ergonomic working that prevents blisters and calluses. Hard gripping zones for high working speeds whereas soft zones ensure high torque transfer. The Laser tip tip literally bites into the head of the screw and thereby prevents any slipping out of the screw head. The hexagonal anti-roll feature prevents any bothersome rolling away at the workplace. Includes practical rack for tidy storage of the screwdrivers. Set includes: 1 x PH 1 x 80mm, 1 x PH 2 x 100mm, 1 x PZ 1 x 80mm, 1 x PZ 2 x 100mm, 1 x 0. 8 x 4. 0 x 100mm, 1 x 1. 0 x 5. 5 x 125mm.

PS: for anyone who ordered Wera Product from Amazon UK over the past few days, and didn't receive a confirmation/showing under 'My Order'; check your order now as they should all be appearing (and cancel any duplicate orders).

all my orders containing the 1/4" bike style ratchet set were cancelled yesterday, had like 10 notifications. All other order were successful at-the-time & have been shipped.

I think they're auto cancelling all the orders that didn't process + the set that was ~$89 is now ~$125

    • I had a chat to them yesterday about it as not all of my orders were showing up and I still wanted the price. Ended up reordering from Amazon AU with a promise that they would refund me the price difference once I receive the items. Fingers crossed that happens. Might be worth a try for those of you who would still really like the items.

    • That’s what happened with me. I ordered, nothing showed up, me thinking I did something wrong, ordered again. I did this 25 times, then suddenly one day I get 25 orders coming in. Had to go cancel it all. Haha. 🥲

Eventually I ordered what I wanted though.

  • Set includes: 1 x PH 1 x 80mm, 1 x PH 2 x 100mm, 1 x PZ 1 x 80mm, 1 x PZ 2 x 100mm, 1 x 0. 8 x 4. 0 x 100mm, 1 x 1. 0 x 5. 5 x 125mm.

I can't see any PZ screwdrivers on the set

  • +3

Unless you know you need PZ screwdrivers this deal is probably a waste of time for most people.

PZ screws are pretty uncommon in Australia.

Pozidriv is certainly no where near as common as Philips - however you will find them on Ikea furniture

    • +1

Agreed, they can strip Philips heads if you're not careful, so best to seek out regular ones if you just need to replenish your drawers.

It's rare to see loose or packaged pozi screws for sale (e.g. at Bunnings, where you're more likely to see Philips), but they're frequently used on British and Euro cars.

They're designed to offer more torque, rather than cam out like regular Philips, which is why they're often used in mechanical and furniture uses which might need a bit more oomph.

    • +1

All Ikea screws are Pozi or slotted, they never use Phillips.

    • Aldi screw assortments are pozidriv. They're not bad, and very very cheap. Got two 1000x assortments of electroplated screws in a case with removable trays for $10 each

    • Would think OP could mention head type in the title

      • its in the description

        • -4

You shouldn't have to read the fine print to find out it's an uncommon head type

          • @Budju: It's literally the second photo of the Amazon listing too. Scroll through the photos, one slide to show you exactly what's included. And you'll see Pozi Drive and you'll also see a picture of the Pozi drive head.
            Couldn't be simpler.

Not sure what your argument or negativity is regarding.

Do you not ever read the description or look at pictures when buying anything….

            • -3

@Spending2Much: It's not negativity to say that helpful information that would immediately exclude a lot of potential buyers should be in the title so they don't have to read description, and or scroll through photos on another website after opening additional tabs or windows.

How is this a difficult concept

              • -1

@Budju: I opened the post, I'm interested in Wera tools and especially bargains with Wera tools. Opened the post, quick read, opened the link, saw its pozidrive and also same screw drivers I have from the 334/6 kit I already have.
Noted a good price, but deal not for me. Closed it down.
I didn't berate the OP for not putting a million words into the heading.

How would you have formatted the title of the post?… (Because I think it's adequate and worded correctly)

  • whats the normal price?

  • Some really good deals on wera at the store.

  • +2

I’ve bought so many Knipex and Wera tools the past few days from Amazon that my wallet weeps.

    • I'm trying hard not to add to my current Wera list….so many 'cheapest price' with another 12% off and I think it's become an issue
