Yup the joys of a marketplace. Just be extra careful of the cheaper ones with low feedback, i.e. 90% and 80% ish.

Like ebay, some sellers are better than others. For me AliExpress has been good with refunds of things that haven't arrived.

@CVonC: Yeah they weren't so much claiming to be Lego just similar. Lepin was straight up ripping them off and really good quality. Semba sets are nice.

Warning : if there's anything wrong with your order, you lose the dispute and leave a detailed 1 star review-it's likely they (seller/aliexpress) will delete your review.
I got scammed and I left a 1 star review and in less than 6 hrs it had been removed. Very long story short: seller lied multiple times and stole part of my order. No exchange or exchange. Left 1 star review and it was immediately deleted. CS played dumb and reps always said contradictory things. Countless false promises from cs and seller literally said they would send me the missing part (lied). Showed CS the message and they still played dumb and blamed me ("show shipping documentation and stamps…" despite showing everything). PayPal backed the scammer. I lost fair amount of money and have a useless paper weight.
Not sure if you do this but I search for sellers with high orders & buy from one of them.
Never had a problem.
I didn't do that, instead i bought it from a seller who had a 97% store rating. I'll keep that in mind next time if I buy anything (not anytime soon)

Max is $15 USD per order ($90 USD total not including shipping). So game the system with multiple orders and try to get the best result with the coupons on offer. I used Excel…it was a slow day.

According to the T&Cs the spend and save offer actually expires at midnight on the 3rd PT time… was considering waiting for an upsized CR offer for my second order of a few items (all affiliated unlike my first order) but I guess I'll just order now (also worried about coupons expiring/going OOS by then too).
They reduced this to $3 off from $5.. and with gst added. meh.
