Voucher for $5 off in-Store Order @ Red Rooster (Red Royalty Membership Required)

990

Reds have offered myself and most likely some other Red Royalty members $5 off your in-store order until Nov 6 so check your emails or your Red Rooster app. Mine might have been provoked by downgrading from Gold to Silver tier but I have no way of confirming this.

Are there any items that cost exactly $5 ATM, essentially free? Their qrtr chicken n chips for$5 was good for these promos but not on ATM

    • +2

You can obtain a free Crunch Box
Edit: You’re a Queenslander, so I don’t think you can get anything for exactly $5 right now.

    • +2

Theres an alternate box for $4.95 here in qld. https://www.redrooster.com.au/promotion/fryer_box/

Are sauces 50c? Can add a sauce to get box and sauce for 45c i guess?

      • +1

I suppose that would be the next best thing thank you. Slightly brings down my bargain enjoyment when I have to pay still though :P

        • +1

Let us know if it works 😬 my local hates giving stuff out for free/nearly free and always makes me feel awkward, so it'd be good to know if it works before going

          • +1

@Rain Cloud: I have the same issue at mine, they HATE it. I have previously been denied getting any 'promos' with the $5 vouchers. They kept saying you can't get the promo item with a voucher. Success is much higher with a regular worker than the owner/manager

            • +3

@knobbs: Yeah i've had free chip vouchers that state in t&c's no purchase required and they kept insisting there is a purchase requirement, then begrudgingly agreed to just give it to me, felt like i was scamming them or something

    • Anything $5 or under is essentially free.

Either way, I'll be using mine for a super cheap triple spicy burger. What a bargain :)

      • T&C say $5 min spend

        • Ahhh I see, thanks.
Odd hat you can't use it for $2.50 of chips but a $5 box is included. Costing them.more
I guess most will using it as $5 off something higher than the $5 box.

          • +1

@SimAus007: Like Spotlight vouchers.. I guess to make people spend some money if it isnt exactly $5. If chips were $2.5 you could get two for free though

    • I think there's a $5 minimum spend for this, so no possibility of a freebie, just a cheaper snack/meal.

      • $5 minimum spend after the voucher discount? Or minimum $5 to be able to use the voucher, ie, can't buy a $4.95 item and forfeit the remainder?

Thanks OP - checked my App and have the $5 voucher sitting there. Their marketing team do need to go back to marketing school though. How dumb showing the crunch box when they know I live in QLD!

    • why qld get differnte?

      • Essentially the same but one piece of chicken is swapped for a tender. Arguably better or worse depending on which you prefer.

        • The QLD deal also comes with a Mash & Gravy.

      • Different operators in Qld. So sometimes different offers.

Mine might have been provoked by downgrading from Gold to Silver tier but I have no way of confirming this.

Don't think so - I'm platinum (don't judge :p) and have it too.

    • Yeah, I've got gold and got it too.

    • Red and got it, heh

    • I have it too. Thought I was Gold but checked before throwing my two cents in and I've bounced back into Platinum. Obviously been extra-Red lately!

I always seem to fall off Platinum around this time of year and miss out on the $20 birthday credit - this year was no exception :(

  • Got this too on both my accounts, free crunch box + piece of chicken from P plate deal :)
Surprised I was targeted, only visited a few weeks ago.

    • p plate deal ?

        • Last day of month today, & had not picked up this month's PPLATE Deal of 1 FREE fried chicken piece per month…🍗
Was given 3 fried chicken pieces FREE!
          Will use this $5 later.

Got it in my account too, thanks OP!

    Thanks OP, checked app, targeted

    • Did you check the offers section? Didn't come up on my front page but was there.

      • It’s not written clearly, but it sounds like they did receive the voucher.

  • I got this on all my accounts. I don't think it is targeted

    • +1

I don't think it is either. Anyone with the app logged in should see it I believe.

    • only got it on one of my accounts

      • +1

Ah maybe is targeted then, but seems they were very generous with who was targeted hahah

        • yeah it's so random

  • I got it too and haven’t used them for MANY months.

    • +1

i bought something few days ago and still got the 5 email

  • +1

Got this too! Thanks for posting, wouldnt have known otherwise.

  • No luck here.

  • +2

Lol @ the crunch box. 2 small wings and about 10 chips. I'd hope if I was actually paying for it they'd do better. Was actually nice - hot, juicy chicken and well seasoned chips (rare) but was just snack sized XD

    • +1

I've gotten decently sized pieces but yeah the chips are pathetic.

    • I got 2 reasonable sized pieces and approximately a small serving size of chips. Honestly pretty happy with that, I'd rather they give me more chicken and less chips. Sounds like you got a bit shafted with your chicken portions though

    • Update: second experience with a different store, much bigger chicken and chips portion + redeemed my free chicken piece which was large as well so was decent enough for lunch.

Shame I'm almost never over this way though.

  • I can see it in the app but how do I use it?

    • +1

You go in the shop, order and scan. Depending on your local, they may give you a hard time using it

    • +1

My local gets me to just say my phone number (which caught me out the first time because it's a burner lol) and then they punch that in and redeem, no scan required.

    QLD here!
    Just got the fryer box ($4.95 ) + a 50c sauce.
Cost me 45cents with the voucher.

    • +1

Nice, just wondering what sauces do they have please?

    • Thanks for info. I wasn't aware they had separate sauces for sale.

      • +2

They have 50c sauces and $1 sauces
From memory the 50c ones were tomato, bbq, or sweet&sour.

  • How does it work? Scan loyalty qr code at the store?

    • Yep. Get them to scan your QR code or tell them your mobile number and then say you want to use the voucher.

  • +1

Thanks op. I had a 20% off offer sitting in the app.

  • Free box cheesy nuggets on a $5 in store special.
No idea how many were on there, or how many supposed to get….they were just easy to eat snack while driving home.

    • I think it's 10 cheesy nugs and apparently they're only supposed to be an add on?

    • Got 10 cheesy nuggets for my $5 voucher today. Wouldn't recommend - dry & tasteless without sauce.
Advertised as an add on, but had no problem buying by itself.

  • Qld, ordered fryer box with bbq sauce. Somehow went through for free (not with 45c charge as expected)

    • May have had 45c Reward credit on your account, used to pay for it?

      • +1

Nah, i rarely go there and history said 0 for dollars earned and dollars redeemed for today's transaction. Honestly don't know what she put through, it was the manager and she may have pressed buttons to just put it through somehow. The offer was definitely used though as it disappeared from the app. She also put an extra sauce in the bag. The chicken piece was a big breast piece, too. A whole lotta food for free :)

        • +1

          Mistakes do happen!
          Will try tomorrow😃

Last week, a Brisbane store gave me 3 FREE fried chicken pieces instead of 1 in free piece per month PPLATE Deal.

  • +1

Thanks OP for posting. Got the fryer box + sauce for free after using reward dollars.
