Before all the overheating comments, consider how many people actually record at the highest resolution (4k) and highest frame rate (120fps) all the time.

THe DJI case that they designed to address the overheating is so poorly designed because it falls out of the case very easily. It's not a tight seal.
And now with the DJI Action 3, they have focusing issues.
Is overheating still an issue after some firmware updates? I read somewhere on product reviews that the issue was at the early stage of the product release and has been fixed since some firmware update?
I got it from previous deal and record at 2.7K with no overheating issues.
The free case can't really come off when it's mounted together.
No, the firmware did not help much. If you have it mounted on a bike or scooter outdoors or are running, it's fine as you get the wind passing over the camera to cool it.
If you're just doing walking pace outside, 4K60 will overheat in as little as 6 mins sometimes.
That's a hot deal.
