Gamesir X2 Gamepad US$39.89 (~A$65.23) Delivered @ Gamesir Official Store AliExpress

230

Limit 1 per customer at this price. Type-C, Lightning, and Bluetooth versions all available.

AUD price in title is reflective of what's shown when checking out in AUD on AliExpress.

I've got one to use for cloud gaming and remote play/emulators, honestly a pretty solid controller. Also wrote a quick review earlier this year with my impressions. At this price it's a good buy, but note it doesn't have analogue triggers like the Razer Kishi so something to note if that's a deal breaker.

If anyone has questions about this happy to answer best I can, I have the Bluetooth one.

  • How do these compare to the much more expensive Retroid 3?

    • +4

Well, one is a controller, one is a gaming system….

      • Haha you're right! I didn't notice the lack of a screen. It does seem a bit costly then I guess? You could get a pro controller that would be a bit chunkier to stow away, but better ergonomics

How does this compare to say a train?, which I could also afford.

        • Its a lot cheaper than a train, but it doesnt come with a dead man switch which the train comes with.

    • +1

This is just a controller, retroid is an emulation device/console.

    • lol those are Just the controllers

  • Seems like a solid price, got me half tempted

  • Had the type C fail on me after about 20 connections

Since purchased the Bluetooth model and it's been fine

  • Have one on my galaxy s21 ultra. Use for Game pass. Brilliant piece of kit. Solid controller. Wish my phone had Snapdragon 865 or greater for eggns (bloody Exynos!). Recommended.

  • does it fit a fold 4?

    • Bought one for my fold 4. Saw one review in youtube which says it works

      • On the link it actually says doesn't support folding phones?

  • +1

Been using this to play Dolphin Emulator on my commutes to work. Bluetooth version. I've honestly been very satisfied.

    • I use a Galaxy S20FE 5G and it fits very comfortably with a phone case.
    • Sticks are surprisingly good.
    • Left/right bumpers can be a bit awkward and are digital. So not ideal for racers and some gamecube games.
    • Provided app wasnt good when I used it. Might be better now but based on earlier this year id say don't bother.
    • Controller can be powered on in several different controller modes depending on what button you hold when you boot it. This is worth noting as you may need to do so to get the right controller compatibility (The controller remembers the last mode it was booted in)
    • The controller comes in a great carry case with some additional control stick pads

I'd happily recommend to anyone who would rather use their phone for emulation than something like an analogue NT pocket or anbernic.

  • Just note that the Bluetooth version doesn't allow unrestricted access to a certain popular Egg emulator. Only the USB-C versions allow unrestricted access.

  • How does this compare to Razer Kishi?

  • Just picked one of these up for $70 second hand but in new condition and having a blast! Using it with my fold 3 and it works great. Definitely worth $65 new, would have been a month or more wait for me anyhow haha.

  • Razr Kishi about $7 more, local stock and Amazon returns. It doesn't come with a case though…

    • Nor a very good d-pad. And mushier buttons. The Kishi is by no means superior.
