  • Anyway to upgrade to express shipping?

    • An extra $12.45 on the order page mate.

And $7.18 for express if you order 2 units.

And free if you order 3!

      Lol

      • +2

        express cost kills it…..

        • Need it urgent?

  • I'm not sure about the vendor but this unit has received generally positive reviews: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1929694

    • They are the same ones that I posted the 1 cent screen protector from, nobody really said anything about bad reviews (and trust me, if there are bad reviews to be found, this is the place they will surface!)

Just always be safe, pay with Paypal (I don't purchase without it unless they are Australian company) and if something looks too good to be true, it is.

    • I have the first version of the Elf and it is a terrific tablet. It took a little while to get market and gapps working but after that it has been a dream. Battery life is pretty good for a cheap tablet and the performance is better than a lot of the $300+ units I have tried out at Dick Smiths and JB. Not to mention I think Ainol were the first company to get ICS working on a tablet and there still aren't even many running it now.

  • on the pointy end of price, but some cheaper on Aliexpress.
likely Android 4.0.3 - think you misread the '4.0 … 7 inch' bit

    • Na, no free shipping from Aliexpress sellers, I checked. Find any that were cheaper+shipping?

Thanks, changed it, probably got confused as the title got shrunk because of maximum length.

        • Nice, must have missed it, although I am always a bit cautious about buying from anyone on Aliexpress.

  • how would i get Bluetooth working on this?

can i put a usb BT dongle in the bottom (lol get it?)

    • From Fadhli at 6/18/12 12:39 AM
      Can it support external bluetooth?
      Ainol Novo:
Now Ainol Novo 7 Elf 2 Dual Core do not support Bluetooth, when we release the latest kernel we will submit on our website.

Sounds like it can, but not yet, if that makes sense.

My 10.1in is bigger than your 7in

    • AHHHHH

    • cool…….but less powerful? it's dual core

  • How do you pronounce this brand? is it Aye-Nol?

    • I don't know if anyone is 100% sure, so it seems to be stuck with "Aye-Nil"

    • +1

I pronounce it anal… what with all the references OzB does with this brand

    • aye-noel

  • ok looks like the aurora 2 is worth the money extra over this… assuming these people can get BT and stuff working on the OTG cable

  • +1

    Many core or not?

    </sarcasm>

    • Trust me, I do remember that deal and have since read through it again, I was not prepared to risk my head on a stake just to sneak a mention of a certain "Many core cpu" Lol

  • how do you get the elf out once you finished :P

    • +1

There is a small box underneath the screen, but you need a crowbar to get to it, only way unfortunately :(

  • is it australia plug?
